Join Sean the Guybrarian & I at #txla25 on Wed @ 11 in the Follent Content booth for a quick dive into the world of manga! Great for manga-curious librarians of levels & settings. @TXLA @katy_libraries
While I 💜 seeing what artwork is my fur baby's twin, I can't wait to start integrating the experiences into library displays & programming! Thank you for sharing your expertise, @murphree_kim! #TCEA2025 #GACLearn

Morton Ranch HS in @katyisd received their wall mount recognizing the students who earned industry certifications on the @iCEVonline platform in the 2023-2024 school year. Congratulations to the teachers, administrators and students. @MRHSMavericks @KATYISD_CTE #HireCertified
SO DESERVED!
We are excited to announce our newest Husky Assistant Principal, Darcie Johnson! Darcie has served as the HJH Testing Facilitator since we opened. Previously, she was a Math Teacher and Department Chair at MCJH. We are so excited for her new role on campus! #WeAreHaskett
This upcoming graphic novel reimagines one of my favorites from one of my favorite authors. If you love a fantasy novel with a stubborn female MC, pick up the original novel today OR this graphic adaptation next year!

Excited to spend my Saturday at @TLADistrict8 Fall Conference, especially hearing about library joy from none other than Mychal Threets! #txla #libraryjoy
Happy Halloween, from Hunter the Lisa Frank Leopard, and the rest of the @MRHSLibrary team! 💜🎃
If I were a high school kid today, I'd probably look a little like this.
If you caught high school me in a book, it might have been this one, a forever fav.
I had a lot of fun for #DressLikeAStudentDay
Thanks to @melissacorey for sharing this last year. While she used lamination scraps, I went ahead and ordered a pack of transparencies from Amazon.
(The subsequent conversation with my clerk when I tried to explain overhead projectors was both fun and painful #ImThatOld)
Be sure to check out our Makerspace area for this quick & easy Halloween craft! It's perfect whether you love a good ghost story or not.
Available in the library all month long, or while supplies last. #ilovemortonranch #katylibraries
It's a great day to COLLABORATE with campus technology professionals!
'Twas only the beginning...there's much more fun to come!
No time like a district planning day to squeeze in some fast & furious tech PD!
From using Google LTI to a crash-course on intro'ing new tech tools in student projects, our library & CTD team presented FOUR sessions for @MRHSMavericks staff to provide #UnparalleledLearning
Today was the first day I've had classes in the library, and it brought me SUCH joy to play games with the kids & nerd out over our favorite books (even when they low-key implied I was old when I talked about reading Shonen Jump Magazine in the 00's). #libraryjoy
July is coming to an end, which means summer is officially over! Here are the quick stats for my reading in June & July.
(Why so many books? Every July, I challenge myself to read 31 manga off my physical TBR in 31 days. It's both a challenge AND joy.)
#summerreading
What a day!
I spent the morning presenting with fellow #CraftingQueen @WMJHlibrary at #CCISDSettingTheTrend, followed by an afternoon of learning. Then, my evening was filled with #BookLove & line dancing with Katherine Center (scroll for the video!)
I love summer fun 😊
