Itβs honestly fucked up how many neurodivergent traits are treated as social flaws.
Being too direct means youβre rude. Being passionate means youβre dramatic. Being hyper means youβre childish. Talking too much makes you annoying. Not making eye contact makes you disrespectful.
None of these things automatically hurt anyone. Maybe stop treating every difference like a character flaw.
It's still a useless advice though, and it only happens when a) things don't progressively get worse b) when you live long enough to see it. Like idk, people who actively made my life worse used to say all that to me, and surprisingly nothing good happened because of it

I donβt want to name them, but a highly successful British Asian woman told me that TERFs were infinitely more abusive than the worst racists sheβd encountered.
