Iโve had MANY conversations lately with high school teachers whoโve said to me:
โBut how do I teach a non-reader in Grade 9-12 to read? I wasnโt trained to do this. Itโs too late at this point to teach them to read.โ (High School Teacher in #ygk)
We can NEVER give up trying to teach a child to read. Itโs a team effort.
This @pattanupdates webinar with Dr Anita Archer is a MUST-watch for all high school teachers.
Remember, itโs never too late to teach a child to read. @liv2learn

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was a revered social rights activist, Baptist minister and a leader of the American civil rights movement. Dr. King worked with Black communities to organize demonstrations and marches that challenged anti-Black racism, oppression and violence. Dr. King and other Black people within the civil rights movement risked their lives to advance the recognition of Black rights in the areas of poverty, wage discrimination, housing, education, justice and peace. Dr. King was tragically assassinated on April 4th, 1968. His life and achievements are now honoured on the third Monday of January every year.
It was a pleasure witnessing an incredible day at @BegleyBroncos1 as the students and staff enjoyed a delicious lunch prepared and served by the Parkwood Church volunteers and our School Council parent volunteers. โค๏ธ ๐ฅ #community @parkwoodchurch โ at Windsor, Ontario
