I’ve come to the conclusion that being a classroom teacher right now isn’t about actually teaching kids. Instead, it’s been about their behavior and mental health. Which…is not my actual degree or profession. Still wondering when the promised mental health cavalry will arrive.
This. 100%, every day, all day, this. Because their mental health isn't OK. So what are you going to do about it? Because I'm not a therapist. My degree is in Latin American Studies and Reading with a credential in Elementary Education...

I’ve been thinking more and more that newsrooms need to hold an all-staff meeting where they invite democracy experts & historians in & really do a massive reset of how we are covering what’s happening in our country right now. It’s not about partisanship but covering reality.
