This morning in English, we have enjoyed exploring Autumn. We had a go at a range of Autumn activities: pumpkin wreaths, Autumn sentences, leaf rubbing, Autumn faces using natural materials and magnetic Autumn word building.
During our RE lesson, we created a piece of art which shows how we think the world began. This term,we have learnt about different religious beliefs and how different religions follow creation stories and theories to help them to understand how the world began.
In PSHE we discussed how we could get help to manage our tricky feelings. Here are some of our great ideas:
Talk to a trusted adult.
Don't keep your feelings inside.
Our Science lesson was all about exploring Autumn. We enjoyed taking part in a range of Autumn activities like: leaf rubbing, exploring natural materials, designing an Autumn outfit, tree painting using cotton buds, and playdough printing.
During our outdoor learning, we explored and identified the signs of Autumn. We discussed how we could use our senses to help us.
In Science today we discussed the weather in Autumn. We planted a rain gauge to measure the rain throughout next week. The children designed their own weather symbols, umbrellas and wellies.
This morning, during our Maths fluency lesson we looked at the composition of 8. We show 8 in different ways.
It is our first time in the computing suite today. We have tried very hard to log in successfully. #resilience
Flashback Thursday!
During our morning task, the children have revisited the amazing work of Paul Klee.
In History, we discussed the similarities and differences of things from the past and present. The children sorted the pictures into the correct box and explained the reasons for their answers.
In History we have been learning about our past. We have talked about toys, food, clothes and celebrations. We wanted to find out what it was like for children in the past. Today we had a visitor who kindly answered all of the children's questions.
We are comparing how many letters are in our names. Who has more letters? Who has fewer letters? Who has the same amount of letters? @YPSMaths
