I have been following this case with interest. The same Commissioner for Standards is used for Alderney as for Jersey. Quality of her evidential finding is relevant along with her interpretation of conflicts in the Code of Conduct.

A lack of co-ordination between @GovJersey and one of the ALOs set up ‘to serve the public’. Why does the Infrastructure Department not run all government infrastructure? Internal red tape and accountability dodging, giving rise to another gravy train.

I would happily campaign for @DeputyTadier to be paid less. It’s about time States Members publicly lodged time sheets.
So, there is actually a group in #JerseyCI campaigning for lower wages. Did I hear that right?

If Jersey’s new Minister for Sustainable Economic Development wants to support economic growth he should support improving the Island’s supply chain rather than continuing giving handouts to businesses for free.

What was his position about reining in public spending at the time he was elected?

Is a single member of the board resident in Jersey? The whole PoJ governance and financial setup needs to be reviewed by the new Minister for Treasury and new Minister for Economic Development

Indeed. And are Jersey’s government funded agencies even included in this calculation?
Replying to @richarddigard
So reading this one can only conclude that jersey has a large and expensive public sector

The new DFDS ship? When is it to be delivered exactly bearing in mind it is subject to board approval? How much will it cost ferry users bearing in mind the ‘extraordinary adjustments’ that can be made to eg pricing if an undisclosed return on investment threshold is not met?

Shameful how many electoral candidates overlooked a democratically supported @StatesAssembly Proposition without reading the report explaining the impact and costs of our complaints review system not meeting best practice standards for investigation, fair hearing or privacy

Have first hand experience of Planning not following the conditions they impose on an approved application. Ended with a works site on our doorstep so noise happening, couldn’t stay in the garden. Did planning help? Nope, told to stop complaining! As say it’s who you know and £££

What if the public is misinforming government rather than the other way round because of a failure to complain through the right channels? Here are the 2025/2026 @GovJersey statistics. Which department would you complain about? And why not complain so they can collect the data?

This morning we found a network of 215 newly registered websites with fake SMS alerts being sent out to Islanders via a Chinese messaging service. These are not legit: even if you are expecting a parcel (or a parking ticket), don't click.

A 21% reduction in candidates makes political accountability impossible in Jersey. You don’t need to use all your votes xitter.cf/mozscott/status/204937… Former States Members have instigated a petition for the review of the the Ministerial system. Here’s the link petitions.gov.je/petitions/2…
We have a system where a Chief Officer and Minister can override normal policy making procedure, fail to consult with key stakeholders, treat successful businesses as pariahs, have supermarket shoppers subsidise smaller businesses and ignore a Brittany performance guarantee. 🤷🏻‍♀️

A shame for families and tourism. And after Deputy Montford Tadier persuaded States Members to support increased culture heritage and arts funding. And after the Minister authorised £40K of that money to be directed towards small airline Finistair against officers’ advice.

‘Playing games’.Elections are a time for political accountability. Unfortunately, an excessive number of seats in @StatesAssembly makes this unachievable. This is the real election issue. Rebuilding confidence in Jersey’s connectivity is up there too. xitter.cf/bbcjersey/status/20596…
