👍 Sure does. My boys need a lot from me at the moment. I’m right here for them. As I have always been. I just want to make sure I’m here as a steadying factor for them as they both go through this wobbly time in their lives. Calm waters will return again. For now, I’m here 🛶

Not been running much & not posted on Twitter much. I’m juggling lots at work & at home. No:1 son started a trade training scheme on Monday. He’s exhausted. No:2 son in a tizz as he fell short on his Higher Maths exam result. His career plan scuppered. He’s resitting this year.

My aunt who emigrated to 🇺🇸 35 years ago once told me when I was going through a difficult time in my life, after she herself went through a difficult time, ‘apples will grow again’. Indeed they will 🇬🇧 This is my flag. These are my ppl. You are too 🇺🇸 🤝 🇬🇧.

🚢 ‘A ship in harbor is safe, but that is not what ships are built for.’ I’ve now missed all my running goals & targets, & my running streak from the 1st of January ended a couple of weeks ago 😢. Long story. That’s the way of it. But, I’m still here. Moving. Grateful. Blessed.

Your area sounds great. You have seasons ☀️ 🍃 🍂 🍁 ❄️ ⛄️. I’m 10 years away from retirement age. Pension doesn’t kick in until then. I have a small military pension that’ll start in 3 years. I’ll reduce my hours then. We all just gotta keep grinding on. Pushing that wheel.

Any employers or households in 🇺🇸 that would like to sponsor & employ a 56yr old 🇬🇧 gardener (plantsman) & lawn care specialist who wants to escape 🇬🇧, then I’m available. I want to be a US citizen & live out my days in the Land of the Free. Ex-Army Commando. +’ve work ethic 💪.

Chips & mushy peas 😋. Sat on a bench at the side of a path, sheltered from the wind, golf course & sea view. No salt 😔. I’ve been given my orders from my adult children - no salt 🧂 keep your blood pressure down. No stressing about work. Only happy thoughts in happy places 😊.

🏃 around the lake, through the woods, down to the river, & back. Loved every step. Needed it. Wishing folks a lovely weekend. Keep moving forward, no matter how small the steps may be. Little by little, slowly but surely.
