The market is an unforgiving examiner. It doesn't grade intelligence. It grades discipline. Once you understood the distinction, everything changed.

Being active doesn’t mean taking trades that don’t fit your plan. It means staying alert so you don’t miss the ones that do. Don’t get it confused🧏♂️
You can watch the market all day and take ZERO trades if nothing meets your criteria. That’s discipline.
The opportunity to execute will come. Don’t let it find you without capital because you’ve blown everything chasing setups that had nothing to do with your system.
What’s the point of waiting for your setup if you spend the entire wait losing money on everything else?🔊

Nice take aim for a minimum 3R, but only when the setup and market conditions support it.
system averages ~3R winners with a 30–40% win rate, and focus on consistency over frequency.
prioritize trades with asymmetric payoff, but adapt based on market structure.
What are you focusing more on: win rate or risk-to-reward?
I’ve spent the last few months (honestly, years) trying to find the right balance for me.
At first, I leaned toward high RR setups with a low win rate. Sounds great in theory… but in reality, the drawdowns were brutal and mentally draining. Not very sustainable (at least for me).
Lately, I’ve been aiming for a middle ground:
~30–40% win rate with a minimum 3R per trade.
Still solid upside, but way more manageable psychologically.
Curious where do you stand on this?
$UK100 took another one today. 😮💨📉
Price pushed up, reversed, and ran straight through my trade.
It hurts, I'm not even going to lie. But I can't demand that every setup wins just because I followed my rules.
Another loss to log. Another trade to learn from.

No trade management is the best form of management for the majority of beginner traders.

Another sign of how neither spec futures positioning nor ETFs flows had any major weight in driving the price of gold #xauusd

Most of your trading problems come from not having data on your system
You over-trade, revenge trade and switch strategies because you’re not even sure if your current system is profitable
But if you have 300+ trades backtested SHOWING you that your system was profitable
You wouldn’t feel the need to over-trade or over-leverage
You would know that you just need to stick to your plan and you’ll make good money
I know guys who have been trading for 3 years and still haven’t backtested their system properly
DO NOT ignore this - it’ll save you

New week, new opportunity.
Whatever happened last week, leave it in the past if it was no good.
This week focus on good habits only.

In trading, failure is tuition only if you learn from it. Lose the same way 99 times, and you haven’t been persistent; you’ve been stubborn. The goal isn’t to fail faster. It’s to need fewer lessons.

If you knew success is 99 failed attempts away - how fast would you fail?
Take the risk!
Allow yourself failure! That’s the one and only way to success! 💪☺️
There’s no reason to be a full-time trader to be honest
The game is too risky
