You can learn a lot from your missed trades, the ones that might've missed your entry by a couple of pips.
There are 3 ways to pass prop firm challenges faster:
- Scale in to your trades
- Risk more per setup
- Add another strategy
You have to trade prop firms differently to personal accounts.
Personal account trading should be focused on capital preservation.
Prop firm trading should be focused on getting funded as soon as possible and your $ per challenge rate.
Prop firm traders now complain too much about rules, it used to take a minimum of 50 days to request an FTMO payout.
Now you can pass both stages and get a payout in a couple of weeks max.
It’s funny that all English traders focus on data, whereas American traders focus on the flashy lifestyle.
If you complain about a prop firm's rules when you are trading the account, you are stupid.
Why buy it in the first place if the rules don't suit your trading style?
Just pick a firm that suits you and trade it.
You have to spend some of your profits to realise the numbers on a screen have real value.
Otherwise, you will forget how much profit you are actually making.
I am going to be making a series on getting my first futures payout, any futures traders have any firms they'd recommend me to use?
Trader 1: $500 spent on challenges, $30k in payouts
Trader 2: $30k spent on challenges, $90k in payouts.
Too many traders would choose trader 1 as they see blowing challenges as a terrible thing, it is not.
Prop firm trading is not real trading, it is just a numbers game.
You are a good prop firm traders if you have more in payouts than you've spent on challenges, simple.
