You are bigger than our pain,
You are bigger than our anger
You are bigger than our fears
You are bigger than our scars
You are bigger than our insecurities
You are bigger than our doubts and confusions.
You are bigger than our sins.
You are bigger than our worries and anxieties.
You are bigger than every problem in our lives.
You are bigger than all our infirmities and sickness .
You are bigger than our cross.
You are bigger than our mountains.
Today,we are letting go and letting You.
God,our protocol breaker and life changer,
May You give relief to those carrying a heavy burden today, see us through beyond, and return us back home safely and in peace.

I don't know who needs to hear this:
Even when situations feel completely “dead”, hopeless relationships, broken dreams, financial ruin, health crises, or deep despair,
hold onto faith and call on God.
Jesus waited until Lazarus had been dead four days (beyond human hope), yet He still brought resurrection.
In today’s world, this reminds us:
. Don’t give up too soon.
. God’s timing is often later than we want, but never too late.
. What looks like the end can become a powerful new beginning.
My takeaway for today:
In your darkest “tomb” moments, keep believing, new life can still walk out!

Prayer to Archangel Michael for Protection in the Unseen Battle
Archangel Michael, mighty defender of God’s people, I call upon your prayers and protection today. Defend me where I cannot see.
Crush every darkness sent against me.
Place Heaven’s protection around my life. Stand guard over my home, my family, my mind, and my heart.
Protect me from every hidden danger, every spiritual attack,
every evil intention, and every force that tries to disturb my peace. Archangel Michael, warrior of God, go before me in the battles I
do not understand. Shield me from what I cannot fight alone.
Strengthen me when I feel weak, and remind me that no
darkness is greater than the power of God. By the authority of Jesus Christ, may every plan formed against
me be broken, every fear lose its power, and every evil
presence be driven away. Surround me with the protection of Heaven.
Cover my life with God’s mercy.
Lead me safely under His light.
Archangel Michael, defend me in battle and keep me close to
God. Amen.

Things I'm learning to leave at the feet of Jesus...
. The conversation I keep replaying.
. The person who misunderstood me.
. The future I'm afraid of.
. The outcome I desperately want.
. The thing I wish I could change.
. The grief I don't know what to do with.
. The version of my life I thought I'd have.
Some burdens were never meant for us to carry forever. The conversation we keep replaying, the future we fear, the outcome we cannot control, and the grief we do not know how to handle can all be placed at the feet of Jesus. Letting go does not mean we stop caring. It means we trust that Jesus cares even more and can handle what we cannot. We may need to surrender the same burden again tomorrow, but each time we do, He meets us with grace, peace, and the strength to keep moving forward.
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”

Lord Jesus, as this day comes to its close, I place myself in Your care. You have watched over me in every hour I have lived, watch over me now as I rest.
Forgive the faults of this day, what I have done and what I have failed to do. Wash my heart clean, and let me lie down in Your mercy. Stay beside me through the night. Guard my sleep, quiet my thoughts, and keep far from me all fear, all harm, and every restless spirit. If I wake, let me find You near. If I dream, let my rest be held in Your peace .I commend to You those I love, those who suffer, and those who have no one to pray for them. Keep them under Your hand as You keep me.Into Your hands, O Lord, I commend my spirit. You have redeemed me, Lord God of truth.
Mary, Mother of Jesus, wrap this night in your mantle. Holy Guardian Angel, watch over me until morning.
Jesus, I trust in You.

POWERFUL HEALING PRAYER ATTRIBUTED TO SAINT PADRE PIO
Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me. I thank You for sending Your Son, Our Lord Jesus Christ, to the world to save and to set me free. I trust in Your power and grace that sustain and restore me.
Loving Father, touch me now with Your healing hands, for I believe that Your will is for me to be well in mind, body, soul and spirit. Cover me with the most precious blood of Your Son, our Lord, Jesus Christ from the top of my head to the soles of my feet.
Cast out anything that should not be in me. Root out any unhealthy and abnormal cells. Open any blocked arteries or veins and rebuild and replenish any damaged areas. Remove all inflammation and cleanse any infection by the power of Jesus’ precious blood.
Let the fire of Your healing love pass through my entire body to heal and make new any diseased areas so that my body will function the way You created it to function. Touch also my mind and my emotion, even the deepest recesses of my heart.
Saturate my entire being with Your presence, love, joy and peace and draw me ever closer to You every moment of my life. And Father, fill me with Your Holy Spirit and empower me to do Your works so that my life will bring glory and honour to Your holy name.
I ask this in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Amen.

Look into His eyes and remember... you are never alone.
Jesus sees the parts of you that no one else sees. The grief you carry, the battles you fight quietly, the prayers you whisper when you don't have the words. He is not distant from your suffering. He is beside you in it.When life feels overwhelming, bring it to Him. When your heart is tired, rest in Him. When you feel lost, let His light lead you home.
You don't have to carry it all alone.
Jesus, I trust in You. Stay close to me, today and always.

The world tempts us either by attaching us to it in prosperity, or by filling us with fear of adversity. But faith overcomes this in that we believe in a life to come better than this one, and hence we despise the riches of this world and we are not terrified in the face of adversity (On the Creed).

The Storms of Life
August 3, 2026
Monday of the Eighteenth Week in Ordinary Time (Year A)
Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and precede him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowds. After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening he was there alone. Meanwhile the boat, already a few miles offshore, was being tossed about by the waves, for the wind was against it. During the fourth watch of the night, he came toward them, walking on the sea. Matthew 14:22–25
Only God, in His perfect Wisdom, could convey profound spiritual meaning through Jesus’ human actions. Though His miracles reveal His divinity and His teachings articulate divine mysteries, so does every subtle movement He makes—each one working together to prophetically depict the full Gospel. The Church, from her earliest centuries, has come to recognize and contemplate these deeper layers through what is known as the allegorical and spiritual sense of Scripture.
On the surface, today’s Gospel reveals Jesus’ divinity simply through His walking on the water. Yet beneath the surface, other mysteries are unveiled. The mountain, the solitude, the prayer, the storm, the boat, the fear, and Jesus’ words all communicate something of Christ’s saving mission and of our journey through life with Him.
Jesus goes up the mountain alone to pray. In Scripture, mountains are places of divine encounter—Moses and Elijah encountered God on Mount Sinai, and Jesus was transfigured before the disciples on Mount Tabor. In today’s Gospel, the mountain signifies Jesus’ communion and heavenly intercession with the Father. He ascends alone, leaving the disciples behind, just as He would ascend to the Father after the Resurrection—remaining with us spiritually while we, the Church, continue our pilgrimage through the storms of this world.
While Jesus is in prayer, the disciples struggle in the boat, tossed by waves, with the wind against them. The boat represents the Church amid the turmoil of the world. The waves symbolize trials, temptations, and fears that rise without warning. And though Jesus seems physically distant, He is never inattentive. In fact, it is precisely in the hour of greatest distress that He draws near.
Jesus comes to them in the fourth watch of the night—the final and darkest stretch before dawn. This is the hour of the soul’s deepest desolation, when one feels most abandoned, most vulnerable, most helpless. Yet it is also the very moment when divine help arrives. Jesus walks toward them on the sea, using the very waves that threatened to destroy them as the path of His approach. The storm does not hinder Him; He walks above it, showing His authority over chaos and His power to transform even the fiercest trials into a means of His presence.
But the disciples do not recognize Him. They cry out in fear, thinking He is a ghost. This reveals a spiritual truth: In our moments of fear and confusion, we can misperceive even the presence of Christ. When our hearts are unsettled and our faith is shaken, we may not see clearly the One who comes to save us.
Then Jesus speaks words that echo through every age: “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” In Greek, the phrase “it is I”—egō eimi—is the divine Name revealed to Moses: “I AM.” This is not only reassurance, it is a revelation of Jesus’ divine identity. With this declaration, Jesus does more than calm the sea—He calms the soul, inviting the disciples to place their trust not only in what He does, but in who He is.
Reflect today on any storm in your life in which you feel God is absent and the waves are overwhelming. Imagine Jesus walking toward you on those very waves. Though His presence may not be immediately clear, look with eyes of faith and listen for His voice: “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” Welcome Him in, and trust that His grace is sufficient for every trial and tribulation God permits you to endure.
Most miraculous Lord, You speak to me day and night—through the Scriptures, inspirations, signs, and sacred symbols. Yet too often I fail to perceive Your presence, especially amid the storms of life. Open my eyes to recognize You, even when You come in unexpected ways. Help me to welcome You into the boat of my soul with faith and joy, so that You may bring order to the chaos I endure and fill me with Your abiding peace. Jesus, I trust in You.

Dear God,
thank You for watching over me. Times seem dark right now, but I know this is temporary. You are my greatest source of hope, for I know that You will never abandon me. I have faith that this prayer will reach You because You are our most all-knowing Lord. No matter how tough life can get, I always keep some hope in my heart that things will be better because I always feel You with me.
You have never let me down, and I know You will continue to guide me no matter what comes my way.
In Your name, I pray. Amen

O faithful Guardian Angel,
My heavenly companion appointed by God, see the burdens I carry, my financial worries, my uncertainties, my need for direction. I ask for your holy assistance now.
Gentle guide, whisper wisdom into my heart. Help me discern the steps I should take, protect me from misjudgment, and lead me toward opportunities that align with God’s will. Stand beside me as I face these trials, and shield me from despair with your radiant presence.
Angel of God, my protector and friend, pray for me before the throne of the Almighty. Ask Him to lighten my load, to bless my efforts, and to grant me the strength to persevere.
With your wings of grace, lift my spirit, and help me trust in divine providence. Stay near me always, O holy guardian, and guide me safely through this day and all my days. Amen.

"The culture says, "Hook up. Drink up. Light up. Smoke it. Do whatever you need to do in order to feel good about yourself."
But it is an insidious lie, because in the end, it feels that we can never accomplish what we're striving for, and we become hopeless.
We're achieving what we can never achieve, never feeling that we're good enough, always feeling inadequate according to the standards of the world.
Our worth isn't built on accomplishments or external appearances, or anything else that the world has to offer, because all of these things pass away.
Our worth is rooted in our identity as children of God.
Friday night we sang that song with those powerful words: "In my father's house, there is a place for me. I'm a child of God. Yes, I am."
It expresses our deepest worth as flowing from Christ.
We are chosen, not forsaken. We are who you say we are. We are worthy."

"I think if you were to ask somebody when you die and you get to heaven, you're going to be confronted with the question Jesus or Saint Peter's going to ask you,
"Why should we let you into heaven?"
And I think most people would start listing good things they've done or bad things that they restrain themselves from, but there's only one legitimate answer.
If when you're asked why should you be allowed into heaven, there's only one correct answer:
"The blood of Jesus. I can't merit heaven. I did nothing to give myself life. I did nothing to give myself the strengths and qualities and opportunities that I've been given. I did nothing.
I'm on a rock that's spinning 10s of 1000s of miles per hour in an empty void around a thing called the sun. I'm in control of nothing."
But if we live with Jesus, united to His mission, and allow that blood to fill us and guide us, it changes everything.
It might even help you see yourself the way God sees you, and if you could see yourself the way God sees you, it would change everything."
