It's the year 1500 Hijri.. the Ummah is strong and united.. what would like look like?
I explore this question through a bit of science fiction writing in my new article: productivemuslim.com/its-the…
I know it's hard to imagine anything beyond the world we're in. Many of us feel stuck in the current circumstances and feel the Ummah will never rise again.
It is in these moments that we need to have an abundance of hope and an abundance of imagination. For an Ummah that can't imagine a different future will never build one.
What would you want to wake up to in 1500H? Let me know in the comments below.

That is the key! Not only muttering and mumbling it but doing it:

- Meaningfully

My favorite line from Chapter no. 3 of #TheProductiveMuslim by @MohammedAFaris is:
"Remember, you're not born patient, but develop patience over time. Islam nurtures a positive mindset and a formula of what to say and do when we face trials."

Just finished Chapter 2 of #TheProductiveMuslim by @MohammedAFaris. Everything explained in the chapter, though just the beginning, is something we, #Muslims , are all aware of but haven't said it out loud. To be productive is more than just

Aligning our goals to not only this life but also the next is very important as a Muslim. We need to learn how balance Deen and Dunya (world), this will help us be content with our situation rather than falling for the world's "rat-race".

Not all days are the same. Some days are highly productve, while others aren't. We need to keep our consistency alive no matter what, but also realize that at the end of the day we are normal humans and can't always attain perfection.

I never felt comfortable with the term "human resources"...
Human beings aren't resources to be allocated, optimized, and then discarded when not useful.
They are an Amanah, a trust from Allah that are put under your care.
I explore this idea in my mega-article here: Managing People as an Amanah: A Muslim Leader's Guide to Rethinking HR productivemuslim.com/managin…
Note: It's an 8K word article, but I've included an audio version + a PDF version for those who like to download long articles and read on their e-readers.
Would love to hear your thoughts and feedback once you you've read/listened to it. Thank you!

I'm hiring my next Chief of Staff.
LaunchGood is an amanah I've carried for 13 years — nearly $1 billion raised, over 2 million donors, 155 countries. Now I'm looking for the person who helps carry what's next.
You'd be in the room for the hardest calls and in the trenches the rest of the time. Non-negotiable: you're AI-first. Not curious — fluent
Also excited to travel, typically once a month internationally, and passionate about uplifting the Ummah without being ignorant of the challenges that come with such work

I grew up thinking Islam was anti-sleep.
I'd read verses about people who "abandon their beds, invoking their Lord with hope and fear" (Qur'an 32:16) and think: to be a better Muslim, I need to give up sleep. I'd read about the Prophet's ﷺ night prayer, and feel it was impossible to emulate.
A friend of mine once told me: "If you can manage your sleep, you can manage your life."
That made me want to understand, study and experiment with sleep, so I could stand in prayer at night, wake for Fajr with ease, and still manage my other responsibilities.
What surprised me along the way is that there are things we can do on a practical day to day level (most of them are very prophetic) that can help us rise up with sleep for both worship and life.
Alhamdulillah, this Saturday I'm running a live 2-hour masterclass called "Barakah in Sleep" where I'll share what I've learned over the years.
We'll cover the science, the Sunnah, and the practical plan you can build around your sleep, even in these tough summer days when Isha is late and Fajr is super early.
If waking for Fajr has been a battle this season, this is for you.
