I'm just gonna AFK #Worlds2022. Could make dinner, eat, explain the entirety of League to my kids, and get them to bed before this 2nd game actually starts...
Sure, winning is fun. But have you ever tried losing slower? You don’t have to be better than everyone else. You just have to suck less.
During our game jam work, we got this annoying issue where we got lines between our tiles. The solution was super quick and easy: adding a sprite atlas. I'm sure others have/will have this issue, so I turned it into a blog post for anyone interested.

Day 13 of #100DaysOfCode #100DaysofGameDev!
Lost some time being sick, but back on track. Spent the evening fixing some bugs in character movement. Minus one small thing, feels MUCH better. Happy with the progress.

Attention #indiedev s!!!
I want to create a small Group of 3-4 devs to meet up for a chill talk once a week. It could be in Form of a Podcast for example. If you are interested reply or send a DM 😁
Also, Please retweet🙏

I’m a grown ass man. Been around the sun 35 times.
And I just spent the last hour organizing and updating my Pokémon card collection.
I love being a nerd so damn much.
My wife hasn’t read, seen, or heard Wicked. Not shaming, but I’m just genuinely surprised. As much as we love musicals, Broadway, and Kristin Chenoweth (she’s from our city!), I just assumed she had.
Will be sharing it with her ASAP.
I wanna develop a pachinko game. I’ve never played, but want to. Nowhere near me has one (that I know).
Plus #gameDev experience. So bonus there.
Day 12 of #100DaysOfCode #100DaysofGameDev!
Not a super productive day. More on the game jam. Camera shifting between rooms successfully. Worked a bit more on art for the tilesets. Trying to get the color scheme down.

One day, I want to learn portrait painting. Just so I can paint K-Pop idols and make video game fan art and anything else that inspires me.
No real end goal. Just for fun.
Day 11 of #100DaysOfCode #100DaysofGameDev!
Game jam work. Particle effects in place. Started confining camera movement to individual rooms, but having trouble figuring out the system. Will get it eventually.

#gameAudio friends: if, hypothetically, I plan my first full game and want to hire someone, what’s your recommendation on budget? I would assume per minute or per track, but what’s a “normal” rate. I wanna start saving…all hypothetically, of course.
I came across a quirk where Unity was not rendering gizmos in my scene view. The solution was deceptively simple. So I turned it into my latest blog post! Learn about the fix here.

Day 10 of #100DaysOfCode #100DaysofGameDev!
Game jam work. Wall jump and double jump added. Feels super tight. Just a few minor tweaks. Also added the auto-tiler (and placeholder art) for once we get a #pixelArtist.

Fun fact: #Unity will not render gizmos in scene view if the component is closed in the Inspector. Same with colliders. Not sure how its taken me this long to realize that.
