We are building MindyFam, our community, slowly and on purpose.
We add new people little by little, every couple of weeks. We are selective to keep the space safe, not to keep people out. We want people to get to know each other, bond, and feel secure here.
To everyone on the waiting list: thank you for your patience. We are getting to you. And we have already started our first events.
Whether you are a neurotypical ally or neurodivergent, this is your space. A place that is safe and real, where we all learn to live alongside different ways of thinking and feeling.
We are the 100% that sees the 25%.
MindyFam is an 18+ space.

Replying to @MindyCoreOU
@MindyCoreOU is celebrating its first year.
With a few lessons, and a lot of energy to keep going!
1) Real leadership is not what the book says. Firm without being a tyrant. One rulebook for everyone is a cage.
2) Listen to the community, with humility. What I miss, they catch. What they miss, we catch.
3) Not everything goes to plan. Deadlines slip, fires happen. But you can stay organised.
4) Protect the culture. Sometimes more than a shiny CV.
5) We do not wait for permission. We work lean. I turned down two offers that did not fit our mission.
6) And the biggest: the community did not just support us, they taught us. They led us to our pivot. We listened.
Here's to many more.
Thank you for being part of this.

What it really feels like to launch a game. Not the polished version, the real one.
Nerves and pressure. Working weekends. Debugging at the last minute. Uploading a build, waiting for approval on iOS and Android, and then needing a new build because a tester found something important.
The bureaucracy: iOS and Android are two completely different animals.
Through it all, you balance getting things done with not burning out the team. I am against crunch. So when my team was tired, I gave them days off and stayed in charge of the release myself.
And the beautiful part: seeing people enjoy something you made. Many give feedback without asking for money. We are all doing this for something bigger than us.
Tiredness, emotion, no real relief. But you find a moment of calm in the middle of it.
Thank you to everyone who has been part of this. The first two MindyPlay games are becoming real.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.

What is time blindness?
The persistent difficulty sensing how much time has passed, or estimating how long a task will take. One of the most common experiences in ADHD.
What it looks like: underestimating time, losing hours in hyperfocus, deadlines that arrive suddenly.
And it is not carelessness. Brain differences make it genuinely harder to sense time. Not about "trying harder".
Why: brain areas and dopamine signalling work differently. Called "temporal myopia", the further away something is, the harder it is to see.
What helps: visible timers, alarms, breaking tasks into steps, external reminders. And a little understanding.
A different sense of time is still real.
Shared by many, lived differently by each. For understanding, not diagnosis.

Mindy Updates: our testing phase is splitting into two. And here is why.
NeuroMindy is being built for more than one language. But adding several at once, on an infrastructure this complex, is a huge amount of work. Doing it all together would slow everything down.
So we split the testing into two phases:
- Phase one: English, first.
- Phase two: Spanish, right after.
To our Spanish-speaking community: your phase is coming. You are not an afterthought. We are doing it this way to move forward and get each language right.
Still being built. Still not rushing it.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.
📌 Image description: MindyCore's mascot sitting on a sage green futon, holding two small signs reading "ENG" and "ESP", with text reading "Testing in two phases. English first. Spanish right after."
Your data is yours.
So you can delete it, whenever you want. With NeuroMindy, whatever you share is always yours. See it, delete it, anytime.
No hoops, no hidden buttons.
When you tell a tool how your mind works, that is personal. You should never feel trapped by what you once shared. And delete means delete.
Not hidden, not archived.
When you remove it, it is gone for real.NeuroMindy only works with what you choose to share. Nothing inferred or stored without you knowing. We do not just ask you to trust us.
We give you the control to decide.Your data. Your choice. Always.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.

Yesterday I had a down day. It happens, and it is normal. The workload is huge right now: the games, NeuroMindy, the pressure of getting it right.
But on days like that, something lifts me back up. The community.
Some people test our games or support what we do, and do not even want the small, symbolic payment we offer. Some realise we are bootstrapped and do not ask for anything at all.
That is people who see the mission, not the business. Some give their expertise for free, just because they believe in it.
My team lifts me too. Huge pressure, but doing it so well. We are close to launching.
On the hard days, I remember I am not alone. The company is a company, yes. But we found it together. We build it together.
Thank you for being here. Even if I have not met most of you face to face, your support gives me strength. So far apart, but connected.
Have an amazing day. Love you all.
📌 Video description: Ornella, the founder of MindyCore, speaks to camera about the hard days and what keeps her going: the community and her team. Burned-in subtitles throughout.
The font you read can change your whole day.
It seems like a small detail. But the font on a screen can be the difference between reading with ease and reading with strain.
So we chose Atkinson Hyperlegible as our default. Designed by the Braille Institute to be easier to read. Every letter is made distinct, so confusable ones, like lowercase L and uppercase I, do not blur together.
For low vision, dyslexia, or anyone who reads a lot: less strain, more comfort.
And you can still change it, to OpenDyslexic, Lexend, whatever reads best for you.
Accessibility is in the details you never notice.
Your mind works differently. Your technology should too.

Small design choices matter. Here's one.
Most help buttons describe where something is. "The microphone is next to the text box." So you have to hold that in your head and go find it.
NeuroMindy does it differently. Instead of describing it, the help button highlights it. Tap for help, and the microphone itself lights up.
No flashing, no animation. Just a border that stays until you touch something else.
It seems tiny. But it means you do not have to keep instructions in your head while you search. That is designing for working memory, not against it.
Your mind works differently. Your technology should too.

I was a waitress, a content moderator, and a trainee teacher. Then I founded a tech company.
My road to MindyCore was not a straight line. And that is what made me better at it.Teaching training: one person represents a group, and you represent your product and values. It also showed me the gap around neurodivergence, diagnoses that never happen from stigma or lack of information.
Waiting tables: the psychology of people, resilience under pressure, how to read and empathise.Moderating content: the dangers of the internet, the harmful side of tech, and how few protections there are for children.
All of it led to MindyCore.
Nothing was wasted.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.

In our products, sound is always off by default. On purpose.
When you open NeuroMindy or one of our games, nothing plays until you choose to turn sound on.
For many neurodivergent people, sudden or unexpected sound is not just annoying. It can be genuinely overwhelming, and hard to recover from.
So we start silent, and let you decide if and when you want sound. You choose what to turn on, and how loud. Nothing is decided for you.
It seems small. But for someone sensitive to sound, an app that stays quiet until they say otherwise makes a real difference.
Quiet by default. Loud only if you choose.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.

The loneliness of founding. Alone, but not that alone.
Founding a company comes with a particular kind of loneliness. The responsibility. The time it takes. Knowing the ship depends on you.
And the strange part: you are alone, but not. I have teams, people who depend on me, people who believe in the mission. And I represent all of it.
The loneliness comes from not having a co-founder, from making the hard decisions alone, from carrying the weight. But I chose this.
What helps me is one thought: what we do at MindyCore gives that part of the population the chance to access technology comfortably, the way it always should have been. Then it is all worth it.
MindyCore is not just a company. It is a social mission. So yes, I am alone. But the community and my teams give me strength.
I am alone. But not that alone.
Meet MindyCards. Traditional card games, made accessible.
Part of MindyPlay, our games lab. Card games from different cultures, built from the ground up for neurodivergent people.
ထ You control the senses: Sensory Mode removes animations and glows. Reduce Motion makes cards jump into place.
ထ No pressure: score, moves and timer are all optional. Turn one off, and the game does not even record it.
ထ Read your way: Atkinson, OpenDyslexic and more. Sound adjusts separately too.
Play your way. At your pace.

What is sensory overload?
It happens when a sense, sound, light, touch, smell, or taste, gets more input than the brain can process at once.
What it feels like: an intense overwhelm. Discomfort, stress, even physical pain. It is real, not an overreaction.
Anyone can experience it, but it is more common and more intense for autistic people and people with ADHD.
Triggers: loud sounds, bright lights, crowds, strong smells, certain textures.
Why: the brain struggles to filter what to focus on. Everything comes in at once.
What helps: moving away, ear plugs, quiet spaces, and people who understand.
It is not an overreaction. It is a real response.
Shared by many, lived differently by each.
For understanding, not diagnosis.

Happy start of the week!
I cannot believe that we are at the end of September already lol
Time goes too fast, right?
Love you all.
When you tell an AI how your mind works, who else reads it?
For most AI products today, the honest answer is uncomfortable. Almost all of them are a thin layer on top of a huge company's model. Your conversations pass through their servers, under terms they can change anytime.
NeuroMindy is going the other way: an open model, our own European infrastructure, and conversations that do not leave it.
And it is not a vague promise. Three of the four pieces are already independent: the rules for how Mindy speaks, the knowledge about neurodivergence, and your data (isolated per user, deleted for real). What's left is the text engine, still from a third party today. Replacing it is the work of the coming months.
This is not a technical decision. It is what lets us tell a school, or a person, that their conversations do not leave here, and prove it.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.

What nobody tells you about starting a company. The honest version.
Some of you tell me you want to start your own company. I always say: that is great, do it. But keep this in mind first. Not to scare you, but to help you start with awareness.
Nobody told me how much energy, every week, it takes. That your own business does not mean more freedom. The responsibility is huge.
As a solo founder doing it well, you are product manager, project manager, and scrum master at once. You do the networking, marketing, community, engineering, support, and leadership.
Nobody told me the cute "CEO" title carries real weight. That not everything is success. That impact needs metrics, and a good idea can die without a roadmap and consistency.
But I do not regret anything. The work is hard, but the commitment is bigger.
Your mind works differently. Your technology should too.

Meet Zombie Jumper.
Zombies, but make it calm.
(COMING SOON)
Part of MindyPlay, our games lab. A simple arcade game, tap to jump and go, built for neurodivergent people.
Accessible by design, not as an add-on:
ထ Colour vision modes (protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia), plus icons and shapes so status never relies on colour alone.
ထ Turn off what overwhelms: screen shake, neon, rain, vibration, each one independently.
ထ Adjustable text size, Atkinson Hyperlegible built in, and separate audio controls.
ထ No blood. No jump scares. Short levels for a break, not to keep you hooked for hours.
ထ A game that adapts to you, instead of forcing you to adapt to it.

You don't need a garage and a big cheque to start a company.
MindyCore is bootstrapped. No big funding round, no investors deciding our pace. A deliberate choice.
I follow the lean startup approach, from Eric Ries' book. The idea is simple: start small, test with real people, and grow step by step, instead of needing a fortune up front.
You do not need a garage like in the movies to build something real. With milestones and smart working, it can be done.
And yes, I talk to investors, I pitch, I learn. You have to stay sharp for a good opportunity. But whether one appears or not does not decide if we move forward. We keep building, either way.
Realistic, by choice. Independent, by design.
Your mind works differently.
Your technology should too.
