There's a new entry to the N.C. High School Athletic Association football record book.
J.F. Webb High School senior running back Mikelis Hobgood rushed for eight touchdowns in the Warriors' 64-19 win over Cedar Ridge, tying the state record.
Hobgood's full state line was 22 carries for 384 yards and eight scores.
Eight rushing touchdowns in a game was achieved six times before. Hobgood is the seventh player to do it.
