🚨RicoKnows Hidden Gem Alert🚨 2026 RB/LB Josiah Daniel (@D1mojo6) 5'9, 185lbs, 3.5 GPA JF Webb HS, North Carolina Head Coach: @gainey_52 Today I had the privilege to review 2026 RB Josiah Daniel's HUDL tape and twitter profile. First and foremost, the young man is rocking a 3.5 GPA and is a multi-sport athlete. He recently placed 4th in the state wrestling tournament, and was a qualifier for the state championships in track and field last season. The tri-sport athlete has traits that pop on tape. The key take aways from the HUDL tape are his breakaway speed, great vision, and patience as a ball carrier. The only issue I see is the first 30 seconds of the HUDL tape doesn't project these traits. The HUDL tape doesn't hit its full stride until the 40-50 second mark. If coaches are patient and keep watching, they'll find a hidden gem. That's when you start seeing flashes of what this young man can be. I think the young man has great defensive instincts and was extremely impressed with his range and football IQ. In a 3 min HUDL highlight tape we don't see a defensive play until the 2:20 mark. The play is one of the best defensive plays you'll ever see, but it's buried within the tape...I'd highly recommend a defense only HUDL tape with defensive plays showcasing coverage (DB traits). While the young man currently plays LB, I think the metrics aren't there to play LB at the next level. I'm giving Josiah Daniel an FCS Ceiling, with a D2 grade given the current CFB landscape (limited capacity at the FBS/FCS level has pushed previous FCS caliber players to the D2 rating). He ranks No. 5 among RBs I've reviewed this cycle.
