Reinforces does it not, the madness of sourcing all our transport energy from one source - oil. The prevailing beauty of an alternative EV solution is the variety of electrical energy sources from oil, nuclear, wind, wave and solar. The madness of a cycle of “oil crisis’ must surely stop and both the Ukrainian and Iranian turmoil reiterates this need. EV is as much about supporting a lower cost of living and energy security as it is about achieving net zero.

Count Binface running a very cool campaign. Clacton needs to be made aware of the immediate boost to their economy in terms of tourism if Binface gets in — he’s becoming a cult figure in America especially.
There now follows a party election broadcast by the Count Binface Party, And if I do say so myself, it's a banger. #VoteBinface #Clacton

Reform UK is proposing a "Britannia card" that would let wealthy foreigners pay a £250k fee to move to the UK, and live here exempt from all tax on their foreign assets. What they don't say: it would cost the UK £34bn. Thread:

As a nation we need as many people to watch this as possible - whether you are a homeowner, a renter, a business owner or an employee, how our electricity is priced is making real life more expensive and harder for everyone @MartinSLewis
Why does the U.K. have higher energy prices than other countries? 📈 And is it all the fault of net-zero? 🤔 Not really, it’s a bit more complicated! @AnushkaAsthana explains 👇 #Peston

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell. This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

The heartbreak Trump wants us to believe that USAID is bankrupting America—when in reality, it’s less than 1% of the federal budget. Meanwhile, Elon Musk—the richest man on Earth—is gutting the world’s largest provider of food aid. This is a man who could end world hunger single-handedly and still be the richest man alive. But he won’t. We are watching evil at work.

I strongly recommend sharing this as widely as possible to counter some of the lies and hate being stirred up by Musk, Farage, Jenrick and Badenoch. And this was while the Tory govt was doing as little as possible to respond to the 2022 report?

It's a scandal that Scotland has abundant cheap energy generation but instead of selling it cheaply, windfarms get paid London prices to turn off. As a result Scotland has the most expensive electricity in the world. Our screwed up system is unjustifiable, and easy to fix...
Renewable energy is cheap - so why doesn't that feed into lower bills? Energy market reform sounds intensely boring - but it's crucial to getting bills down. Local pricing would cut bills across Britain - and slash them in the places that actually build new clean energy.
