Sunday Thoughts: A whole lot of money was spent on a lot of transfer QB's who have turned out to be pretty average.
The price for a QB keeps going up, but the play isn't getting better.

New ECMWF data shows the *strongest subtropical jet stream* in its forecast history blowing across the Pacific and U.S. this winter into next spring, with record-strength winds predicted from California to Florida.
There's even a connection to Europe.
El Niño fuels more thunderstorms near the equator, which release heat high into the atmosphere.
That extra warmth strengthens the Hadley circulation and steepens the temperature gradient between the tropics and the mid-latitudes, which strengthens the subtropical jet.
And that's why such a stormy winter is anticipated across the western, southern and eastern United States.

Some more scenes from #McCaysville this afternoon. Going to be a long road back for a lot of these businesses that just had to rebuild over the course of the fall. @FOX5Atlanta @FOX5StormTeam #GAwx

Usual caveat: These ratings #'s don't capture everything. CNN's press release notes that the network's coverage "also aired on CNN International and CNN en Español around the world, whose audience levels are not captured in these U.S. television numbers."

During prime time, CNN easily topped Fox News and MS NOW in the key demographic of 25 to 54 year olds, with 1.5 million versus Fox's 771,000 and MS's 665,000. Per @CNNPR, this is the network's best midterm performance on record.

I love bringing back the "newsroom set" component. As an TV consultant once told me: "everything that was old will be new again"
Big fan of @CNN’s brand new election studio and I love the steadicam going through the studio door at the top!

Some election night live-streamers reached big audiences, but broadcast and cable TV accumulated much bigger audiences overall. Most live-streamers are narrow while TV networks are still broad

Why would you watch election coverage when you can watch an Ohio kicker named Peacock miss a field goal against Akron?

AP exec editor @juliepace's great advice for tonight: “Be patient and prioritize facts over speculation. Votes can take time to count, and the absence of an immediate answer doesn’t mean something is wrong. At AP, we’ve been counting votes and reporting election results for more than 175 years. A big lesson from all that experience is that getting it right matters more than getting it first.” cnn.com/newsletters/reliable…
