What you’re seeing here isn’t a tiny tornado — that’s a subvortex of a MUCH larger tornado that basically engulfed a mountain.
Probably one of Utah’s strongest tornadoes on record — perhaps winds in the 120-150 mph range.
An absolutely wild event today:

We are grateful to everyone who has shared a kind message about my dad, particularly the leaders of the other parties.
My family and I have been helped though this difficult time by people’s warmth and compassion. It means a great deal to us and we wanted to say thank you.

The National Weather Service in Buffalo, New York oversees marine forecasts for the entire U.S. side of what, since 1641, has been known as Lake Ontario.
But the National Weather Service can't say "Lake Ontario" anymore – per President Trump's Executive Order 14422, it's Lake America or nothing.
Today, the Buffalo office got a bit... creative... in referring to "our eastern Great Lake."
No directives were broken. The lake was never named.
Illinois officially has a new state hail record! ⛈️ A colossal hailstone, measuring 6.603 inches in diameter, was confirmed by the SCEC following a storm on March 10, 2026, near Kankakee, IL. It reached historic size, weight, and volume! Learn more: bit.ly/ILHailRecord

FUN FACT: There is an officially named ‘Trump Lake’ in a remote part of Northern Ontario, approx 34 miles north of Chapleau.
The lake has no depth whatsoever, is completely isolated and full of algae. It’s also crawling with bottom-feeding scum-suckers and smells like shit.

INCREDIBLE PICTURES!! I was sent these from Facebook of a clear funnel and probably ground circulation near Manchester around 7pm today
Beautiful stuff
High Wycombe cell with surface convergence and temperature, constructed from Wunderground observations in the area; large hail of around 3 centimetres in diameter occurred in the area around 15:40 BST. AROME sounding in the area shows high CAPE in the hail growth zone.

@infoclimat @meteofrance @meteociel @Meteo_Pyrenees – at Bordeaux, France
That's me turning the alerts off. Who wants to tell the government that they're a little over 24 hours late? Way to rub it in to places like Stourbridge.

This guy is lucky to still be alive.
In this crazy video from Mexico, a mountaineer records buzzing from a corona discharge (a form of St. Elmo’s Fire), and it means a lightning strike is imminent.
Extreme voltage builds up between cumulonimbus clouds and the peak. The buzzing is the sound of electricity actively leaking into the atmosphere (often accompanied by tingling skin or hair standing on end), and is the final warning sign that lightning is about to strike that exact spot.
The buzzing at the end of the video is quite extraordinary.
