You might be wondering, what’s with all the fuss around the closure of Joffre Lakes Provincial Park to non-Indigenous British Columbians?
Here’s why it matters. A lot.

“It’s in a crisis…We have so many differences between the Lower Mainland and other places in the province. And this one-size-fits-all all model that government is pushing just doesn’t work.” - @JohnRustad4BC on the healthcare crisis we’re facing in the North

Massive job losses…More of the same trajectory under the NDP. B.C. can’t afford 4 more years of David Eby’s job-killing policies. We’re losing jobs and British Columbians are leaving the province. Time for a change..

British Columbians have had enough of the catch-and-release policies from the guy who wrote the book on “How to Sue the Police”. David Eby has to go.. Let’s restore Law and Order with a @Conservative_BC Government. #bcpoli
David Eby’s soft-on-crime policies are failing, and law-abiding citizens are paying the price. John Rustad will end the chaos, restore law & order, and bring safety back to BC. #BCpoli

Thank you to L’heidli T’enneh First Nation for hosting today’s National Day for Truth & Reconciliation events in #CityofPG.
Hon. Justice Murray Sinclair was quoted today: “Education got us into this mess and education will get us out of it.”

The NDP continue to enable drug use with their radical policies. “Eby the activist” can’t be trusted for another minute on the drug crisis and public safety. @Conservative_BC will prioritize public safety, recovery, and the protection of communities. #bcpoli

Time for those without a family doctor to make their voices be heard - data certainly not reflected by what we are hearing in the North!
I don't think I've ever seen this '88% of BCers now have a family doctor' stat before today, and the political risk the @bcndp take in advancing the number (assuming it's correct and not creative statistics) is it may not match up with the public sentiment/frustration on issue.

A truly odd way for @bcndp to announce a major policy shift on the carbon tax today - after months of arguing the exact opposite position - which comes across as scrambled panic.

Really great turnout yesterday for the Parkinson’s Society SuperWalk in #CityofPG. The @Conservative_BC team was proud to support a cause helping over 17,000 British Columbians living with Parkinson’s and their families.

BC lost nearly 19,000 full-time jobs in August, offset by part time gains for a net loss of 4,300 jobs.
The unemployment rate has risen to 5.8%. #bcpoli

Really appreciated meeting with my new @Conservative_BC colleagues yesterday to discuss the important work we need to do together to defeat the NDP and elect a new Government on October 19th. Thank you @SheldonClareBC & @RosalynBirdCPBC for the kind welcome.
The three Prince George Conservative Party of BC candidates attended the intergovernmental MOU signing at Prince George City Hall today. @KielGiddens, @RosalynBirdCPBC, and I met afterwards, we fully committed to working to defeating the NDP and forming a Conservative government.

You’ll notice that nowhere in this carefully worded piece is there any mention of John Rustad’s vision for the future of BC.
Allow me to fix that.
John Rustad doesn’t have a vision for BC. He doesn’t have a hot clue. John skipped almost every important debate over the last 7 years, most votes, and did zero in department estimates. If you didn’t know better, you’d think he joined the witness protection program. So he hasn’t the faintest idea how to lead BC out of the NDP socialist wilderness.
Bateman and others are hoping that you miss all of that, the lack of policy depth, and just vote for the logo and the rhetoric (plagiarized from Pierre Poilievre). I think British Columbians are much smarter than these turncoats give them credit for. People, hard work, policy and ability to execute matter. Loyalty and honour matter. That’s all for now. Carry on.

To note on this:
- This was previously announced by @bcndp earlier this year.
- It was not party/gov's original position, which was to stay out of issue and leave it up to individual school districts. But @voteBCUnited promised a ban, so the NDP was forced to followed suit.
Cellphone use will be restricted in all British Columbia school districts when pupils return next week, as the province becomes the latest to curtail the use of the devices in classrooms.
