The Conservative Party of BC stands for a strong and united Canada. Always. David Eby questioning my patriotism is shameful. Invoking soldiers we lost this weekend in an attempt to save his own job is beyond the pale. This is a desperate distraction from his record. While David Eby once again tries to divide British Columbians, we are focussed on uniting to get BC back on track.

Congratulations to the successful candidates who will serve as mayors, city councillors, school trustees, and regional district directors. You have embarked upon an important calling of public service. To those who put their names forward and yet were not successful - either in being elected or re-elected, thanks for showing up and offering to sacrifice your time to serve your communities. There are many opportunities to serve and I am sure that you will find them.

My thoughts are with members of the Canadian Forces at Wainwright following an incident and fire that has injured soldiers undergoing training. Please refer to official sources for details about affected units and personnel.

On July 8, 2020 former Prince George resident and CBC reporter Faith Fundal was working in the local CBC office when Faith saw flames coming from the Econo Lodge at Ninth Avenue and Victoria Street in Prince George. Without regard for personal safety, Fundal ran into the burning building and rescued David Klein. Three other people died in that fire. Faith Fundal is now living in Winnipeg, and works as the host of CBC Manitoba’s afternoon show. Faith Fundal is serving as an officer cadet in the Primary Reserve Force working in The Cadet Organization Administration and Training Service (COATS) sub-component as a CIC Officer assigned to 177 Air Canada RCACS. For selfless actions in hazardous circumstances on that day, Governor General Louise Arbour has awarded Faith Fundal the Commendation for Bravery. It will be officially presented by the Lieutenant Governor’s office at a future date. Congratulations to Faith Fundal on this well-deserved honour.

A Conservative Party of BC government will help workers and businesses succeed. Business owners in Prince George - North Cariboo have told me that they needed greater flexibility to employ young people. Here it is.
Nearly 14,000 young British Columbians lost their jobs last month. That’s thousands of young people losing their first opportunities to earn, learn, and build a future here at home. The Conservative Party of BC will help businesses hire young workers through a First Job Tax Credit, creating more opportunities for young people to get their foot in the door and build a future in BC.

October 6 marks a significant but sad milestone for Quesnel and communities throughout the Cariboo, as the final scheduled Rocky Mountaineer Rainforest to Gold Rush journey passes through our region. The service has brought visitors from around the world to Quesnel and showcased our communities and landscapes internationally. But we should not accept the end of the Rocky Mountaineer service as the end of the railway corridor. The Squamish to 100 Mile House line is a critical piece of infrastructure with potential for tourism, freight, resource development and future passenger service. The Province has said it intends to keep the corridor in public ownership, but protecting the corridor is only the first step. We need a serious, coordinated effort involving the Province, local governments, First Nations, industry and potential rail operators to find a sustainable future for the line and keep the corridor intact. For Quesnel and region, this is a great loss. It should also be a reminder of what this railway has meant to our community - and why we need to act now to protect its future.

So let’s see Adrian Dix, if your mill is in an NDP riding it gets special treatment? What about Quesnel River Pulp in Quesnel? What about the Canfor mills in Prince George? The NDP hasn’t stood up for workers in decades. Forestry isn’t a sunset industry; it’s foundational to this province. It’s not okay to be picking winners and losers. Let’s get people back to work and build a prosperous province with the Conservative Party of BC.

It was an honour to attend the opening of Nazko’s new cultural site. This is a wonderful celebration of Nazko’s culture, history, and community. Congratulations to everyone who helped bring this important project to life. A special thank you to Chief Leah Stump for inviting me, and for the warm welcome. It was a privilege to be part of this special occasion.

It was an honour to be invited to attend the Lhoosk'uz Dene Nation Chief swearing-in ceremony. Thank you to Chief Jeudi Etherington and the Lhoosk'uz Dene Nation for the warm welcome and for allowing me to share in this important occasion. If re-elected by the people of Prince George-North Cariboo, I look forward to continuing to build strong relationships and working together for the benefit of our communities and the Cariboo. Congratulations, Chief Jeudi!

Wonderful morning in Quesnel at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 94 and the Quesnel Farmers' Market. Campaign signs are being prepared - check out my website to request a lawn sign, volunteer, and/or donate to my campaign. conservativebc.ca/candidate/…

Great to attend the Mayoral race forum in Prince George hosted by the Prince George Citizen. Eight candidates responded to questions in front of a packed house at the Prince George Playhouse. Cudos to these candidates for putting themselves forward and to The Citizen for supporting the democratic process. The questions were solid and there were many engaging ideas presented by these candidates vying for this important leadership role.

That’s the kind of guy Lorne is - always ready to help.
Interviewed @LDoerkson just now. He’s sitting in former MLA Donna Barnett’s kitchen to use her wifi for interviews on his way to deliver truck full of items to Clinton food bank. Said he’s “appalled” Eby keeps using wildfire metaphors when snap elxn has shut down services for ppl

I have been asked if it is true that Trevor Halford, John Rustad, and Claire Rattée have been removed from Caucus. Despite them still appearing on the party website, I can confirm that the Clerk of the House was duly advised that they were removed from the Conservative Caucus.

I’m proud to stand with Kerry-Lynne Findlay. She is the leader BC needs at this difficult time in our history. BC Conservatives are well-positioned to help British Columbia become prosperous again. #BCPoli
Thank you, @UBCM. The BC Conservatives will always listen to our local colleagues. Public safety, infrastructure, healthcare, property rights and small businesses matter to British Columbians. I’m here to stay, here to lead and here to make government work for you.

Let’s get back to basics - we need to return to prosperity for all British Columbians. A common sense Conservative approach will get us there.
I’m running on common sense, responsible government and a plan that puts British Columbians first. The Conservative Party of BC platform hasn’t changed since 2024. Lower costs. Stronger communities. A government that lives within its means and delivers the services people depend on. It's time to get back to basics and make government work for you!
