#InvasiveSpecies alert! Parrot feather has been found in Michigan waters. It has been limited to small ponds where management has been effective. Still, it's smart to remember that ornamental plants should never be allowed to spread into natural waterways. #MacrophyteMonday
Parrot feather is a heterophyllus #aquaticplant, meaning it has differently-shaped leaves above & below the water. It was likely introduced from ornamental pond activities.
