60 Minutes interviewed Samed Khdair, a Palestinian American recently beaten by Israeli settlers and denied meaningful assistance by the U.S. Embassy. They cut his interview from the final broadast, and aired this instead.
The segment barely acknowledged Palestinians killed by Israeli settlers and failed to mention U.S. citizens killed— including Nasrallah Abu Siyam, Khamis Ayyad, and Sayfollah Musallet — all killed in the past year alone.
By airing such a watered-down piece, CBS gave viewers a grossly incomplete account of an issue that should matter deeply to Americans: how our citizens are treated by a state that receives billions of our taxpayer dollars and influences our foreign policy at the expense of our own interests.
These omissions make the violence appear less urgent and leave Washington’s failure to protect its own citizens without meaningful scrutiny. Lesley Stahl, CBS, and CBS News editor-in-chief Bari Weiss owe viewers the full story.
Another glaring example of the Palestine exception —and the erosion of journalistic standards at 60 Minutes.

In 1971, I visited Palestinian camps in Lebanon & Jordan documenting their stories of the Nakbah. It was both heartbreaking & inspiring. I heard what they’d lost & witnessed their determination to return. They passed their keys & memories on to their children - Palestine lives!

You’ve killed over 20,000 children in Gaza.
❗️ CHILDREN IN GAZA EXPLOITED: Footage shows a terrorist using a child to transfer weapons into a civilian home in central Gaza, using him as a human shield to transfer the weapons, in an attempt to prevent the IDF from striking & thwarting their transfer.
Upon identifying the presence of a child, the IDF refrained from carrying out any strikes against the terrorist.

Israel's rage at this film is itself revealing. Israel's problem isn't really the content, it's that the filmmakers betrayed the Hebrew firewall. If you follow Israeli Hebrew discourse on Gaza, the genocidal nature of it is not hidden at all. It is proudly embraced. Israel is essentially upset that this film airs the military's bloodsoaked laundry for the world to see, not that the laundry is dirty itself.

Two things can be true: NAZA is a crucial documentary evidence against genocide deniers
We live in a frighteningly hypocritical world that applauds Israelis who call out apartheid & genocide while shaming & disbelieving Palestinians who say the exact same words
Like when German Culture Minister Claudia Roth said her applauds at 2024 Berlinale were solely directly at Israeli journalist Yuval Abraham & not his Palestinian co-director Basel Adra who was with him on stage
An Israeli saying genocide & apartheid is "brave" & "extraordinary". A Palestinian using the same words is "radical", "extremist", "propagandist", "antisemite", & "uncompromising"
Palestinian testimonies & evidence are treated as "biased", "exaggerated", "unreliable", until Israelis say otherwise!
We need a former Israeli prime minister to say there's ethnic cleansing in the West Bank for European governments to believe it
We need a former Israeli foreign minister to say that Camp David was a scam & that if he was a Palestinian he would've rejected it, in order to debunk the myth of the "most generous Israeli peace offer"
We need the Israeli newspaper Haaretz to say Israel is torturing Palestinians to death in detention camps for the world to believe what we've been documenting & saying for years
We always need an Israeli to add legitimacy & credibility to our meticulous & impeccable evidence
That shouldn't mean discounting Israeli dissenting voices who speak up; it doesn't mean devaluing the important work they do & the risks they take when they call out their own country's crimes. There's already been a giant wave of attacks from Israeli government & opposition leaders against the filmmakers of NAZA
Shame & anger should be directed at mainstream places who suppress & sideline Palestinian voices while elevating Israelis who say the exact same message
The game is rigged against us. But that doesn't mean attacking Israeli dissidents like Yuval. It should rather mean that we & Israeli anti-apartheid activists should jointly call out & condemn those who set the rules of the game at every possible opportunity until Palestinian voices are heard & believed
What do our people stand to gain from attacking Yuval & discrediting this movie? Activism is about what works, what makes a difference, not what feels good. NAZA is an important & crucial documentary that must be seen all around the world.
Can’t wait to discuss this great new book Don’t Say Palestine with @AssalRad tomorrow which manifests what she’s long said, “if you’re not writing the truth about crimes against humanity, you’re culpable in them” @KPFK @penguinrandom @DAWNmenaorg @ArabCenterDC

🇫🇷 French left-wing leader and 2027 presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon is calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to release Dr. Hussam Abu Safiya, the director of Gaza’s Kamal Adwan Hospital, who has been held by Israel without charge since December 2024.
“Netanyahu must release Hussam Abu Safiya, a doctor who is the honor of his profession and of Humanity,” Mélenchon said, noting that the Palestinian doctor was detained after treating children wounded in Israeli attacks and is now being “held and tortured.”
Dr. Abu Safiya’s lawyers and family have repeatedly reported severe abuse in Israeli detention, including in the past week.

Congratulations South Africa Legal Team. What a gift to humanity you are.
South Africa has officially submitted a substantial dossier to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), detailing Israel’s continued non-compliance with legally binding provisional measures.
The submission, formally handed over on 25 August 2026, serves to assist an ICJ committee of judges tasked with monitoring the implementation of the court’s orders in Gaza.
According to the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO), Israel’s non-compliance directly undermines the protective functions of international justice.
Hence, the submission is a vital milestone in the struggle for global accountability. By formally documenting Israel’s refusal to adhere to the court’s binding provisional measures, Pretoria is doing far more than advocating for Palestinian survival.
