Your reminder that Werner Gunthor was one of the most explosive athletes of all time
He specialized in the shot put, which is interesting to point out
Shot-put involved more stationary, rotational output, yet he did training like this
๐ค Food for thought for pitchers/hitters
Atten: all Brisbane S&C coaches. This is a great opportunity to learn from 2 fantastic practitioners.

Coach these workouts are boring. Ok here try this - Run 40 x 400 everyday for three weeks! That is what Emile Zatopek did. I don't recommend it, but we need to get back to training robust adaptable athletes rather than entertaining them. Sometimes training is boring.

Enjoyed talking all things hamstrings with the man whoโs seen/studied more of them than most in @Ryan_timmins. Also great discussion around the problem(s) with applying research in elite environments. โ at Brisbane, Queensland
Hamstring injuries are the bane of all footballers' (and medical staff's) lives. No-one knows more about 'hammies' than this week's guest, researcher @ryan_timmins with @darrenburgess25

Dear @susieob. Please feel free to contact me, or any afl player/official, to discuss what this โfreedomโ actually looks like and the impact it has had on mine and our families/ home life. Lazy, poorly researched and headline seeking journalism at its finest.
'Most of us canโt fly anywhere, but AFL stars and club officials have packed their surfboards and golf clubs and winged their way to freedom. Itโs an unfair and disgraceful situation.' Thoughts? ๐

Replying to @MrFranSilver @hiitscience
Thanks Fran. Every situation has its own context. I would say great as proposed (these are all obvious benefits), so long as it doesn't interfere with achieving the key factors of importance in your program (i.e., have all these boxes been ticked first).
