As the #FIFAWWC commences, the @AfghanWnt are also in action, far away from the bright lights of the footballing showcase, as they continue their season in Victoria’s local leagues and call for their ability to officially represent Afghanistan again. They lead Melbourne Uni 1-0.

Given our local pub tipping competition offers a free parma for every perfect round I would like to petition the @AFL to keep the month-long bye round permanently.

I don’t think I every really appreciated just how terrifying it would be to get attacked by a swarm of bees until I read about it here: washingtonpost.com/wellness/… 🐝

Reminiscent of the video game Bart Simpson vs The Space Mutants someone traversed Brunswick with a spray can and left a trail of pink right up our street 🤷‍♂️

I’ve been loving watching Virginia Tech progress through this tournament. @georgia_amoore is so fun to watch play and I hope they go well again tomorrow in the Final Four.

As time has gone on the issues with wellness questionnaires become more and more apparent. If you see your athletes each day why not listen to them and watch them to see how they are doing? The data you get will be richer than seeing a 4 for hamstrings recorded online.
“I lied a little bit.” A qualitative study exploring the perspectives of elite Australian athletes on self-reported data. Great work from @molly_physio @AndreaBMosler @myles_physio sciencedirect.com/science/ar…

Also, I remember Bengt Saltin telling me the biggest learning from his career was making sure every time you take something from the athlete to give them something of value back. Asking someone to consistently self-reflect and record their wellness each day isn’t insignificant.
