Percent of Louisville households that do not even own a single car. When you build only for cars instead of transit, bikes, and walking options across the county, you are leaving up to 50% of households behind and unsafe. Based on 2022 Census tract data:

🚘Checked Waymo pricing on Saturday night at 6 pm on my way to dinner and Waymo was charging $71.99 for a ride - one of the highest per mile prices I’ve seen here in LA. I then checked other apps and the same route on Lyft Black was $38.42 and Uber Black was $33.97.
What’s interesting is that when I flipped back to Waymo, the price went down to $19.93 - one of the lowest per mile prices I’ve seen! Not sure if it was a glitch or they knew I was checking prices on competitors but guess it always pays to shop around 🙂

e-bike and e-scooter collisions with…?
E-bike & e-scooter collisions are up over 30% this year. More than half of e-bike rider deaths from 2017 to 2025 involved illegal bikes going over 25 mph.
Today at City Hall, we're hearing from DOT, NYPD, delivery workers & advocates, while considering legislation that would:
✅ Create a trade-in program to get illegal e-bikes off our streets
✅ Stop illegal mopeds from being sold
✅ Set safe delivery time standards so no worker has to race the clock
City with the population of Louisville.
DENVER IS TURNING THE PARKING LOTS AROUND BALL ARENA INTO AN ENTIRE CITY.
The 55-acre redevelopment could deliver:
• 6,000 homes
• 10–12M square feet of mixed-use development
• Shops, offices and hotels
• 10 acres of parks
• Up to six new pedestrian and bike bridges
The deal also keeps the Nuggets and Avalanche downtown through 2050.
This is the future of urban arenas: homes, businesses and public spaces that remain alive long after the final buzzer.
Every sea of stadium parking in America should take notes.

Which has better travel times for cars: Amsterdam or Atlanta? Remarkably, it's Amsterdam.
There's a critical lesson here: it's possible to design great places for walking, biking, and transit that are also better for drivers. We just published a report on how.

Download the report here. It's chalk full for practical strategies to create beautiful walkable places without turning drivers against the idea.

Well, goodness, our streets have cost us $2 billion over the last ten years, and our police and fire departments are costing over half a billion a year, and we have yet to realize the first cent of revenue! I hope you’ll also bring your business savvy to that problem!

The top transportation official in the US wishes to remind you that trucks are not really for transportation. They are a tool for forcing others to suffer for your fragile masculinity. These noises are harmful (and to some, literally painful). That’s their actual purpose.
