Rupert Lowe should not be celebrating what happened in Peterlee.
Restore Britain took more than 14% of the vote, while Labour held the seat by just 18 votes. Whatever your view of Nigel Farage or Reform, the reality is obvious: splitting the anti-Labour vote helped Labour survive.
That is not a victory for the right. It is not a victory for change. It is a gift to Labour.
Lowe appears so determined to damage Farage and Reform that he is willing to ignore the political consequences. Every vote diverted from Reform in tightly contested seats makes it easier for Labour to remain in power.
For those who oppose Labour's approach to immigration, border security and deportations, that should be a serious concern. Many voters believe the country cannot afford another full term of the same policies, yet vote-splitting risks delivering exactly that outcome.
To Reform supporters: hold the line. Do not be distracted. Do not lose sight of the bigger picture. The objective is defeating Labour, not fighting each other while Labour benefits from the division.
To Restore Britain supporters, ask yourselves a simple question: if your priority is changing the country's direction, how does helping Labour win seats achieve that goal?
Politics is ultimately about outcomes, not egos. If the result of Restore Britain's campaign is to take votes from Reform and leave Labour in power, then history will judge that accordingly.
The harsh truth is this: every percentage point taken from Reform in seats like Peterlee makes a Labour victory more likely. If that continues, Rupert Lowe's political legacy may not be that he challenged Farage. It may be that he helped keep Labour in power when many voters were desperate for change.
That's the reality, whether people like hearing it or not.

This is superb from @SuellaBraverman. She tears SHREDS out of the govts dangerous decision to ignore safety concerns and house illegal migrants in Piddington.
She rightly calls out the fact there are NO female Labour MPs taking part in this debate.
She does NOT hold back! 🔥

If All the Restore voters voted Restore at the GE they will possibly win 1 seat and nothing they want will be achieved. 🤦♂️
If they all vote Reform and Reform win then Restore will have nearly all their policies delivered. 👍
Let that sink in Restore supporters when it’s time.

🚨 Mahmood spent MONTHS talking tough about making it harder for migrants to claim Leave to Remain and citizenship – and all the benefits that come with it.
From the beginning, she faced a rebellion on the Labour backbenches, led by Angela Rayner herself.
Those backbenchers say that migrants haven't been given enough of your money, and seek to throw open access to our welfare state.
Today, Labour’s Home Secretary threw in the towel to those people.
She says she'll water down her reforms to ensure "fairness" - which to Labour MPs means giving them everything they could possibly dream of at taxpayer expense.
Far from a principled driver of change, Mahmood has become the mouthpiece of the most deranged open-borders lunatics in Britain.
But it shows once again, when push comes to shove, the old parties will always bend under the weight of their woke MPs.
Reform has the fortitude to do what it takes.
To put British people first.

The song is called “we will dance again”and its lyrics are based on young people who went to a music festival on October 7, 2023 when thousands of rockets were fired from Gaza towards them. Then came the invading Nukba forces, who raped, dismembered and beheaded many of the party goers.
@BoyGeorge is simply singing about those who were murdered on that day.
But so many haters who wish to deny the massacre, now hate George for daring to share sympathy with the victims on that morning.
@BoyGeorge has awoken so many artists who will now also declare their support for Israel and its right to go after its 255 hostages starting from November 2023.

The next election will be an existential fight to save the country we love, a mission I have now been fighting for over 30 years.
After two national election victories in as many years, many people now recognise that it will be a binary choice between Reform UK and Labour.
With the prospect of an early general election increasingly likely, it is natural that people from across the political spectrum are considering which side of that fight they intend to be on. Patriotic voters believe in many of the same things, but only one party truly has the possibility of delivering change.
To deliver that change, I understand Reform UK will need the support of people from other parties, as well as millions who have never voted before. That is the broad coalition I am building.
Over the last 18 months, I have demonstrated that our movement will always be open to anyone who shares our commitment to restoring Britain’s borders, rebuilding our economy, renewing our democracy and putting the British people first.
My previous history in politics has also shown that I am always prepared to put country before party, as I did in 2019. But I will never turn my back on my team.
There will always be a home in Reform UK for those who believe that 14 years of Conservative government, followed by the last 2 years of Labour, have failed the British people... and that our country now needs a fundamentally different direction.
I will continue to do whatever is necessary to defeat the left and provide Britain with the strong, serious leadership it deserves. This is the last chance for our country, and we cannot afford to waste it.

This is coming to Britain if we do not leave the European Convention on Human Rights. The small boats are just the start. We have to take back control of our own laws and borders or we will lose our country.

Statement from Cllr Caroline Clapper
Leader of Reform UK Hertsmere Borough Council
Today, Reform UK Hertsmere has submitted a Motion of No Confidence in the Leader of Hertsmere Borough Council, together with a proposal for a Strategic Alignment Administration.
Following the Bushey Park by-election, the current administration no longer has the support of a majority of councillors. At a time when Hertsmere faces Local Government Reorganisation and the delivery of a lawful Local Plan, residents deserve stable and accountable leadership.
This proposal is about putting residents first, restoring confidence in the Council, and working constructively across political groups to deliver for Hertsmere during this important period of transition.

Jeremy Clarkson has never pretended to be anything other than exactly what he is
Brutally honest. No oil painting. A pot belly, a lifelong smoker, a drinker. Not exactly the modern alpha male or is he?
And somehow that is the whole point
I have watched him for most of my life
First as a motoring journalist who could make you want a car you would never own and never need
Then as something bigger
The loudest, funniest, most unfiltered mouthpiece the ordinary person ever had
A man who said the thing everyone was thinking while the rest of television tiptoed around it
From Top Gear he built something that should not have worked
Three middle aged men, The Stig, a track and a chemistry you cannot manufacture
James May the patient one
Richard Hammond the brave one
And Clarkson the force of nature dragging both of them into chaos and somehow back out again
When it all fell apart at the BBC he could have disappeared
The fracas was not his finest hour and he never pretended it was
He owned it, apologized and carried on
No reinvention, no groveling tour, no carefully managed comeback
He just kept being himself and let the work speak
The move to Amazon and The Grand Tour proved something I think a lot of people missed
The format was never the magic
The men were
You can take three friends out of a studio and drop them anywhere on earth and the loyalty between them travels with them
But it is Clarkson's Farm where the whole picture finally comes into focus
Here is a man with nothing left to prove walking into a field he barely understands and refusing to fake competence he does not have
He has run that farm at break even and then at an outright loss in full public view
No editing it into a success story
No pretending the numbers work when they do not
His farm manager hands him one brutal truth after another and he sits there and takes it
A whole season swallowed by drought even after he leaned into robotics and the most advanced farming money could buy
Technology was supposed to be the answer and the weather did not care
He showed that too
Most people would have cut it
And through all of it he has done something quietly remarkable
He has dragged the plight of the British farmer into the light
The paperwork, the council, the margins that vanish, the weather that ruins a year of work in a week
People who had never thought about where their food comes from suddenly cared because he made them care
And then there is the part nobody warned me about
Men who raise animals for meat and still love them
Who name them, worry about them, sit with them
Who treat them with respect and dignity right up to the moment they cannot keep them
And feel the full weight of sending them off
He does not hide that
He lets the camera sit in the discomfort of it
The grief of a man who knows the deal he made and still finds it hard
That is not weakness
That is honesty most people are far too afraid to show
We live in an age that rewards the polished, the curated, the carefully built personal brand
And here is a scruffy, swearing, chain smoking farmer who has done the opposite of all of it and won
He stayed exactly who he was while the world begged him to become a product
That is the whole secret
There is no act
There never was
And that is exactly why we keep watching
Praying for a full recovery mate, looking forward to another season of Clarkson's Farms!
