Oscar-winning ex-BBC producer Lucie Kon reveals horrific antisemitic treatment. Right after October 7 a BBC colleague said âZionists are evilâ and if she wanted to call the massacre an act of terror then Israel must be labelled a âterror Stateâ. This is still going on. Shameful.

BBC must 'pay ÂŁ400,000 to Oscar-winning Jewish producer after she became victim of anti-Semitism and bullied out of the broadcaster' trib.al/c49MkV9

The BBC has agreed to pay ÂŁ400,000 to an award-winning Jewish documentary-maker who alleged she was subjected to antisemitism and pushed out of the corporation after October 7.
Lucie Kon, 57, spent 22 years at the BBC and worked on programmes including Panorama, Today, BBC Breakfast and Storyville. Films she commissioned or helped produce won an Oscar, Emmy and Bafta.
Kon says her treatment changed dramatically after the Hamas attacks. She alleges colleagues described Zionists like her as âevilâ, argued that Israel should be called terrorist if Hamas was, and told her to consider what had driven Hamas to carry out the massacre.
When she proposed a documentary about October 7, Kon says she was told she was âtoo partialâ to oversee it because she was Jewish.
She subsequently filed a formal grievance, but a BBC investigation rejected her complaint. Kon says she was then kept away from work for months. During a restructuring, her position was made redundant and she failed to secure the similar role replacing it.
She launched unfair-dismissal proceedings.
The BBC has now agreed substantial compensation, reported as ÂŁ400,000, without admitting liability or accepting that Kon suffered antisemitism.
Kon says Jewish employees still at the corporation continue to face hostility and feel unable to identify openly as Jewish or Zionist.

In many areas now the BBC is a propaganda tool
đĽ Er ⌠the BBC appears to be trying to brainwash our children.
Now, this should come as no surprise, because the BBC is a fully signed up member of the UNâs propaganda arm tasked with ensuring the narrative is prominently platformed.
Using the Bitesize website, the BBC teaches children about immigration, Net Zero and globalisation. And look what happens when children make the WRONG political choices.
If children choose to deport migrants, they lose points. But if they choose open borders they gain 3 points for the economy and 2 for public health.
If they decide open borders are too radical, they get ZERO points.
BBC Bitesize tells pupils that believing migrants take jobs from local people likely arises from prejudice!
Children are encouraged to petition local government over Net Zero, told they may need to fly less and eat less meat, and introduced to the wonderful promise of a borderless world.
The BBC appears to see its role as underpinning âcorrectâ thought and that legitimate contested political questions are settled science and only the global view wins the game!
And we are forced to pay for itđĽ.

CAA has obtained footage which appears to show a Thameslink supervisor downplaying the atrocities which Hamas carried out in Israel on 7th October 2023.
The exchange, which was caught on camera, allegedly occurred after a Jewish member of the public questioned why a different Thameslink staff member was wearing a divisive Palestine badge.
This needless politicisation of public transport has absolutely no influence over the situation in the Middle East â all it does is make many Jewish Londoners feel deeply uncomfortable.
Our polling shows that a staggering 70% of British Jews would not feel comfortable physically or verbally disclosing their Jewish identity on public transport.
You can see why.

A 1,465-page Subject Access Request from Royal Holloway shows university staff discussing my social media, my political views, and even my âthoughtsâ with Surrey Police and PREVENT.
The referral called my pro-Israel and Zionist views an exercise of âfreedom of speech,â then said my âlatest commentsâ suggested âmore extreme right-wing viewsâ and might be âsuspected hate speech.â It logged tweets that mentioned Muslims. It recorded my location in Golders Green on the evening two Jewish men were stabbed in an incident police treated as terrorism - the night I stood with the Jewish community there.
One internal message asked: âWaiting for BM to link this to his experience?â
That is the live matter under CPS review over the tea-towel comment. Staff appear to have been trying to tie ordinary political posts to an ongoing criminal case.
A university department monitoring a studentâs speech and location, then feeding it toward police and Prevent, while a case is live, is not safeguarding. It looks like interference.
The same records show the university telling police not to contact me directly - that the university needed to know before police acted.
Prevent closed the case. No evidence I was developing an extremist mindset. No evidence I was promoting an ideology based on violence, hatred or intolerance. No evidence I was being drawn into terrorism. Referral shut.
Students should be referred to Prevent or police when there is a genuine concern about extremism, incitement, or support for terror groups - not because their politics are unpopular, not because someone wants their tweets linked to a separate case, and not because staff are logging âthoughts.â
Since I started at this university I have had more than 16 threats. Eleven of them came two weeks ago: a knife-across-the-throat sticker, messages saying people will find me and know where I am, threats aimed at the university, and lines about keeping my neck warm and wearing a scarf because I would be assassinated like Charlie Kirk.
Some quoted the Quran alongside the threats. I have the screenshots.
The wellbeing team that should have been dealing with that is the same operation whose records show them routing my politics toward counter-terror channels. Prevent said no. The threats kept coming.
When does a universityâs monitoring of political speech become a counter-terrorism matter? Who decides a studentâs views warrant a referral? What stops staff from treating dissent as evidence of extremism â and from trying to fold it into a live police case?
Universities are spending time and public resources policing tweets and âthoughtsâ while actual threats go unanswered. Prevent had to shut this one down.
Britain is broken.

Seeing the aggressively two tier approach by our police has pushed me from a position of near total support for our police- as far back as I can remember- to near total lack of confidence today.
It is almost farcical how politicised the police have become, to the extent that they are visibly on the side of some of the worst elements of society.
The next government will obviously need to demonstrate how it will get on top of crime and bring peace back to our streets. But it will also need to radically and completely reform the institution of policing itself.
We are proud to fund and provide legal representation for @markbirbeck's claim against the Metropolitan Police, issued today in the High Court in London.
CAA is providing litigation funding to enable Mr Birbeck, the founder of @OurFightUK, to challenge the lawfulness of his arrest five days after the Heaton Park synagogue terror attack.
Mr Birbeck was arrested on suspicion of committing a Terrorism Act offence, a public order offence, and a breach of the peace. Extensive footage shows Mr Birbeck calmly debating with pro-Palestine supporters while holding a sign that read âWe stand with Britainâs Jewsâ immediately before his arrest.
We fully support this action and Mr Birbeck's determination to secure an acknowledgment from the police that their conduct was unlawful.
For years, CAA has provided free legal representation and litigation funding to people affected by antisemitism or victimised for standing with British Jews. Our litigation funding provides access to specialist lawyers and indemnifies claimants against adverse costs.
Mr Birbeck said: âI wanted to publicly display a simple message of solidarity with British Jews just a week after two of their community were killed outside a Manchester synagogue. I was arrested, and the charges brought against me that day are outrageous and baseless. I am grateful to CAA for taking on my case, and ensuring that the police are held accountable. Nobody should be left with a terror arrest on their record for taking such a standâ.
Mr Birbeckâs case is yet another galling example of two-tier policing in Britain. While Palestine activists repeatedly break our laws with impunity, a member of the public is seemingly unable to peacefully express support for British Jews without being arrested on suspicion of terrorism - a serious offence. This is a sobering reflection of the state of our justice system, and that is why CAA has intervened to see that the police answer for their conduct in court.
Those who stand with British Jews will always have our support, and we will not stand by while the law is turned on them instead of on those who threaten our community.
