With the pandemic forcing people to stay home, thankfully E-Center graduate startup @MetaGamesCo released its first game SLAYERS FOR HIRE on Steam Early Access. The company has been steadily hosting various online tournaments played across the country.

Played in a Slayers for Hire tournament today. Got bodied really badly, but had a ton of fun. This game is so good and the rollback netcode is so incredible it feels like playing offline. More people should try this game from @MetaGamesCo

I also worked on this game! They got a new character out just before the summer sale. If you like how rollback melee feels, this game also rollback.
The whole UI and experience is extremely polished. Its very community-oriented and shows long-term promise.
Less than 12 hours after the Spy 🕵🏾♂️ released yesterday, Meeks landed this edgeguard. Lookin' good, Meeks!

Any chance for side brackets of smaller games? My platform fighter has rollback netcode and it'd be an honor to even be a side event at an online version of EVO :)
We're still in Early Access, but we're starting up tournaments this month. (Game is Slayers for Hire btw)

Fighting games that use GGPO (or platform fighters - like @MetaGamesCo ) can shed light on this. Separately, a game like @IconsArena / @TheVortexRising (its successor) have strong netcode as a result of DLR (Deterministic Lockstep Rollback) which are the fundamentals of GGPO.

I'd like to throw my game into the mix for fighting games that do better. It's a platform fighter with rollback netcode called Slayers for Hire. I can throw you some keys if you want to give it a shot.
Also happy to also help answer questions about netcode and whatever else.

Played Slayers for Hire from @MetaGamesCo , it's easily the most fun I've had with a non Nintendo platform fighter by far. The movement and the character diversity feels REAL good.
