The major goal of the PhD project in the @Kei__Sakamoto Group is to investigate the molecular mechanism by which AMPK controls metabolic processes in skeletal muscle and liver through specific post-translational modification (PTM, such as reversible phosphorylation) and develop unique methods/strategy to modify or mimic such regulation via cutting-edge targeted protein PTM technology or small molecules in cells/tissues.

Feels great to have this paper off our books and into @MolecularCell. I thoroughly enjoyed the collaboration with Billy @RNAedit and Shibin Hu @Stanford and our many Zoom chats. Key findings in the thread.

This preprint finds a nice home @MolecularCell. We hope that the mechanistic understanding of how ADAR1 safeguards cellular dsRNAs will provide insights for therapeutic developments. #RNAediting #ADAR
