They broke Eisenhower’s globe because they didn’t want to wait for a team of specialist historians to move it.
I cannot think of a more apt metaphor for Pete Hegseth’s DoD.
Our library is having a short story contest for Halloween 🎃 The entry date is tomorrow and I challenged @John_Counts that we both write one but I only have 3/4 of a story, a half-assed plan and a headache. Can I get it done?? Wish me treats not tricks and some extra energy today

Humans build cities.
Cities birth department stores.
Humans build suburbs.
Dept. stores build shopping malls.
Downtown dept. stores die.
Humans invent online shopping.
COVID.
Malls die.
Replaced by Amazon hubs.
Is this chess or checkers?
What comes next?

For the first time in @metrotimes history, we’re no longer seeking comment from a candidate’s campaign because of repeated lies and bigoted attacks. That candidate is Mike Rogers, whose campaign keeps targeting Abdul El-Sayed’s Muslim faith. metrotimes.com/news/mike-rog…

"I thought it was drugs. It was our grandmother" is one of the funniest things I've ever read
It has been a struggle to get the family passwords straightened out so I can use Microsoft Word and my reward is… nightmare spacing options. Clippie is crumpled in a dark bar somewhere in a dirty old Orson Welles raincoat.

Hold that mother accountable.
We watched this play out right here in Michigan with the Oxford school shooting. Four children were killed, seven others were wounded, and both parents were convicted of involuntary manslaughter.
If a parent knowingly provides a firearm to a child who poses a danger and ignores serious warning signs, they absolutely deserve to be investigated and, when the evidence supports it, criminally charged.
Enough of burying children while the adults who enabled these tragedies escape accountability.
