Over the weekend, I visited my home state of Bayelsa and my community Toru-Orua the first time in a long while, precisely since the funeral of our late Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, my loyal brother and mentee. After returning to Abuja from the funeral, I became deeply engrossed in the registration and building of the NDC, a process that has occupied much of my time over the past months. I was pleased to be accompanied on this visit by our Presidential Candidate, His Excellency Peter Obi, CON, who spent the entire day and evening in Bayelsa with his entourage, including the Director-General of our National Campaign Council, Mallam Ibrahim Abdulkarim. I thank our National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas; members of the National Working Committee; our State Chairman and members of the State Executive Committee; local government and ward chairmen; and all party members and leaders across the state. I particularly appreciate the Chairman of the State Elders’ Caucus, Dr. Osusu, and the Bayelsa West Caucus Chairman, Elder Suru Oyarde, alongside other caucus members. I thank the state campaign coordinator, Prof. Opuala Charles and all the members of the campaign team. I also thank all our candidates, including our senatorial and National Assembly candidates and the 24 House of Assembly candidates, for mobilising in large numbers to receive us at the airport and accompany us to the party secretariat, where I was overwhelmed by the mammoth crowd. We subsequently commissioned our state secretariat. From there, we proceeded to my country home in Toru-Orua. I am grateful to the Chiefs and elders of Sagbama community for their warm reception and gifts. I equally thank the people of Bolu-Orua and Toru-Angiama, my paternal ancestral community, and all the communities along the route that came out in large numbers to welcome us. My special thanks go to the Paramount Ruler of Toru-Orua, the chiefs and elders, the youths, women and party faithful across Bayelsa and beyond. I thank our Rivers State Governorship Candidate, Dumo Lulu-Briggs; South-South state chairmen and other party leaders from neighbouring states; and everyone who contributed to the success of the visit. I also thank the security agencies, musicians and media organisations that covered the events. During my remarks, I introduced our presidential candidate to the people of Bayelsa and urged them to support and vote for him, as he is contesting on the platform of the NDC our party. I also called for a minute of silence in honour of the late Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, with whom I discussed the NDC after I decided on its formation. Just as I also mentioned it to the current Governor, advising him not to decamp to the APC. I called on our people to honour the legacies of our political forebears, especially Harold Dapabiriye, founder of the pre-independence Niger Delta Congress; and His Excellency, the late Chief Melford Okilo, elected the first preindependence House of Representatives on the platform the NDC; Isaac Adaka Boro; Chief Diepreye Alamieyeseigha; and Pa Edwin Clark, among others. I also discussed the formation of the NDC with our leader and father, His Excellency President Goodluck Jonathan. The NDC represents a long tradition of political leadership founded on the struggle for equity, justice and an inclusive Nigeria. Our forebears understood that advancing the interests of our people also required building bridges of trust understanding across the country. This is the tradition I have inherited and the responsibility I consider it my duty to sustain. I hope the younger generation will embrace this legacy of service, service with conviction for the betterment of all.

When Peter Obi wins, funny stories about snakes swallowing billions of naira in public funds in government offices will become a thing of the past. He will ensure that both the person telling such a lie and the snake will be held accountable. Vote wisely, my people.

“We are fully aware of all the efforts being made to persuade INEC to disqualify our governorship candidate in Kano State but they have forgotten that history is about to repeat itself.” — Sen. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, The reason I am saying this is that Abba Kabir Yusuf, the Governor of Kano State, had made a political mistake in the past and I believe he has now realised it. That explains why you have seen him travelling back and forth, day and night, practically relocating to Abuja. His objective was to ensure that INEC would declare a situation in which there would be no NDC governorship candidate in Kano State. However, the pressure and mounting against INEC became too overwhelming and eventually, INEC could no longer withstand the heat and had to surrender. Now, what is happening? We are currently in court because they has instituted a legal action aiming to ensure that there would be no NDC governorship candidate in Kano State. They operated behind the scenes, reportedly leaving in the backforth approach a court in Kano State and file a case against INEC and the NDC, apparently hoping to secure a court order without our knowledge or opportunity to respond. But from the very beginning, we knew their plans andour candidate had no outstanding issues concerning his eligibility, age, academic qualifications, certificates or any aspect of the official recognition process that could prevent his participation in the election.

Lol, I just stopped by to educate you a little. First, a DJI Pocket 4 is a handheld camera, not a drone. I requested a repair referral because it’s a relatively new gadget in this part of the world. Kindhearted Nigerians who support HE Peter Obi’s presidential ambition offered to replace it. The support wasn’t for me personally, but a gesture of goodwill towards the campaign. One indicator of a candidate’s acceptance is the willingness of people to support without coercion or expectations of anything in return. That’s something you, your boss and the APC cannot boast of. I’m where I’m treated with respect, dignity and love. I can’t say the same for you. I’d encourage you to join the brighter side of the divide, so you won’t be shouting “Akanbi” on a hot Thursday afternoon.
Esther, take a moment to look at yourself. After years of working with Peter Obi, you still have to come on X to solicit crowdfunding before you can afford a basic work tool like a drone. Have you ever seen any of Peter Obi’s children come online to beg for financial assistance? Why do politicians' children enjoy comfort while young people who dedicate their lives working for them struggle to afford basic necessities? Never make a politician your entire future. Build your own life!

This is what Bola Tinubu will continue to face if he doesn’t RESIGN NOW. You either resign or be disgraced at the polls. The people have spoken, they do not want you, and they do not want APC.

Asawana! Sound it out! The hour has come. This is the moment we were given, the narrow opening in the long arc of time. Victory stands just beyond the horizon, not as a distant dream, but as a choice we can still reach. Vote Obi for President. Vote NDC.

“As Nigerians prepare to go through the process of selecting those who will lead us come 2027, the only advantage an incumbent has is that they can point to what they have done and try to convince us that they will do better. It is now left to us to decide, not by manipulating the system or stopping the opposition.” — Catholic Bishop of Nsukka Diocese, Most Rev. Godfrey Onah.

@Morris_Monye I know a company who can help procure one fast and also fill the gap before the new one get here, they have even better drones and are partners to DJI in Nigeria. With Dock 3 automated drones being the latest versions available. If the team is in interested that conversation can be had. They also have surveillance drones that would be of great help for security monitoring during this period.

Please, does anyone know where I can get my DJI Pocket 4 repaired? We got drenched in the rain yesterday and it’s no longer functioning. I use it in making videos for the campaign . I’d appreciate recommendations.

The Enugu State APC recently released its Campaign Council list, which included Auxiliary Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of Enugu, Bishop Ernest Obodo, and other prominent Christian clerics. Today, the Catholic Diocese of Enugu and CAN, Enugu State Chapter, issued disclaimers distancing themselves from the list. Bishop Obodo stated that his inclusion was without his knowledge or consent, described it as unauthorised and misleading, and demanded the immediate removal of his name and those of other Catholic priests. – at Ibadan, Nigeria

BAYELSA STATE: WARM CONGRATULATIONS TO SENATOR HENRY SERIAKE DICKSON Yesterday, 30th October 2026, I travelled from Enugu to Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, to attend the homecoming ceremony honouring my dear brother and our Party’s National Leader, His Excellency, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, while continuing our engagement with the people. During the grand event, I reminded the good people of Bayelsa State that, after more than three years in office, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has not considered it appropriate to spend even one night in Bayelsa State, despite spending over 260 days abroad. I assured our numerous supporters and the people of Bayelsa State that this will not happen under my leadership. I will visit Bayelsa to hear directly from our people and respond to their concerns. In Bayelsa, I pledged that we would begin efforts to upgrade ports throughout the Niger Delta, including those in Warri, Port Harcourt, and Calabar. We will also begin construction of the long-delayed Ibaka seaport in Akwa Ibom State and establish a new port in Bayelsa State to serve our riverine communities and the broader Niger Delta more effectively. I reaffirmed our commitment to unite and secure the country, fight corruption, and make substantial investments in healthcare and education while lifting our people out of poverty. The visit concluded with my joining Senator Seriake Dickson, for a traditional canoe war game and boat regatta in his hometown of Toru-Orua, Sagbama Local Government Area. I congratulate my dear brother, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, on his successful return home. I appreciate our party’s national and state leadership, members as well as the good people of Bayelsa for good organisation, warm reception and successful event. A New Nigeria is POssible, and Nigeria will be OK!. -PO
