It's the most fascinating sports story in the world right now.
Beloved American Sepp Kuss is about to win the bike race of a lifetime.
His only competition left?
His own teammates, who may take it away from him.

How to add a background image to a Quarto pdf document, thanks to LaTeX:
1. In the YAML at the top of your .qmd file, make sure there's a reference to a .tex file to include-in-header (meaning it runs before your document, this is where to refer to LaTeX packages and such).
ALT --- format: pdf: include-in-header: - "in-header.tex" ---
2. In that .tex file (mine's called in-header.tex), include the following to add your image and determine the specifications.
This is useful to add a watermark or even a letter or some other kind of template to the background of your pdf. (Why mail merge when you can Quarto?!)
![\usepackage{background}
\backgroundsetup{scale = 1, angle = 0, % opacity = 0.2, % opacity optional
contents = {\includegraphics[width = \paperwidth,
height = \paperheight, keepaspectratio] {your-bg-image.png}}}](https://pbs.twimg.com/media/FvEKt_tXoAA5hSy.jpg?name=orig)
ALT \usepackage{background} \backgroundsetup{scale = 1, angle = 0, % opacity = 0.2, % opacity optional contents = {\includegraphics[width = \paperwidth, height = \paperheight, keepaspectratio] {your-bg-image.png}}}
