🎗️🚨🎗️"It doesn't seem like how a usual kidnapping goes down." Retired FBI supervisory agent Jason Pack says new excerpts from the purported ransom notes in the Nancy Guthrie case don't look like typical kidnapping-for-ransom demands. "The most telling sign is this no negotiation, no further contact line," Pack told Fox News Digital. "Genuine kidnappers wanna keep the line of communication open." The sender did, however, incorporate known pressure tactics, including setting a deadline, making threats and telling the family that Guthrie knew what would happen if they failed to comply, Pack said. But cutting off communication before the deadlines passed was also unusual, he added. Authorities have not confirmed the authenticity of the demands, and no suspects have been identified or arrested. Guthrie has been missing for almost six months. Anyone with information is asked to dial 1-800-CALL-FBI. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Tucson's Crime Stoppers affiliate at 520-88-CRIME.🎗️

Rapid DNA testing can provide quick leads in cases like Nancy Guthrie's disappearance, but it's often not admissible in court due to chain-of-custody and validation issues. Official labs ensure accuracy for prosecutions, though experts like retired FBI agent Jason Pack argue for expedited processing to avoid delays. Sources: Fox News, AZ Family, NYT. Retired FBI agent Jason Pack told Fox News Digital new evidence seized Friday night in the Nancy Guthrie investigation needs to be taken to a lab immediately. “Here’s the question. Do they wait until Monday to commercially ship it to a private lab? In past high-profile cases, I’ve seen FBI aircraft used to immediately shuttle evidence to the FBI Laboratory at Quantico," he said. "That eliminates days of waiting. In a case involving a vulnerable 84-year-old woman who is without her heart medication, where every hour matters, you don’t wait for FedEx on Monday morning."

The FBI’s Cellular Analysis Survey Team (CAST) is one of the bureau’s most critical tools in missing person cases and may be the key to cracking the Nancy Guthrie case, but retired FBI supervisory special agent Jason Pack said most Americans have never heard of it. Pack — who served as Chief of Staff for FBI Public Affairs, negotiator and child abduction team leader — told Fox News Digital that authorities likely have suspects in Guthrie's disappearance, but data is still being refined by the specialized team. "They have data, mountains of it," Pack said. "Names have surfaced and been evaluated. Some have been cleared. Others may still be in play in ways we aren’t seeing publicly."

MAJOR BREAKING NEWS ALERT: The FBI and the Pima County Sheriff’s Office are looking to question the man seen in a new Ring camera video recorded about five miles from Nancy Guthrie’s home. Bringing further insight, former FBI Supervisory Special Agent Jason Pack told Fox News Digital the individual in the video was identified through an extensive canvass but is not considered a suspect at this time. “This kind of work is painstaking and laborious, but it does yield leads just like this one,” Pack said. Pack noted that the man in the new video appears to be dressed similarly to the individual captured on Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera around the time of her disappearance — wearing a backpack, jeans and a shirt. However, he cautioned against labeling the individual a suspect or person of interest at this stage. “They are simply someone identified through the canvass who needs to be fully identified in order to determine whether there is any involvement or not,” he said. “Every lead has to be run down, and that is exactly what investigators are doing right now,” Pack added, urging anyone who recognizes the individual to contact the FBI immediately.

BEHIND THE CURTAIN: Retired FBI agent Jason Pack tells Fox News Digital that the equipment seen inside the tent was likely used to capture high-quality reference video of Nancy Guthrie’s porch where blood was found. "That footage could help forensic analysts measure fixed structures like bricks and archways to calculate a more precise height estimate of the suspect seen on doorbell video," Pack said.

NO COINCIDENCE: Retired FBI agent Jason Pack tells Fox News Digital you don’t deploy SWAT and FBI tactical units on a hunch in the Nancy Guthrie case. "When those units roll out, it means a lead has been vetted to the point there is a reasonable possibility of a high-risk situation — but deployment does not mean resolution," Pack said.

🚨 Jason Pack: “I wouldn’t read too much into the fact that it’s just her.” Pack suggests the ransom may already have been paid, and the video was meant to get people on the lookout for suspicious activity if a move is underway.
