Retired FBI supervisory agent Jason Pack says new excerpts from the purported ransom notes in the Nancy Guthrie case don't look like typical kidnapping-for-ransom demands. "The most telling sign is this no negotiation, no further contact line," Pack told Fox News Digital. "Genuine kidnappers wanna keep the line of communication open." The sender did, however, incorporate known pressure tactics, including setting a deadline, making threats and telling the family that Guthrie knew what would happen if they failed to comply, Pack said. But cutting off communication before the deadlines passed was also unusual, he added. Authorities have not confirmed the authenticity of the demands, and no suspects have been identified or arrested.
