Now that @RoyCooperNC is entering North Carolina's U.S. Senate race, for folks not super acquainted with our state's politics, here's what you need to know about Cooper and his history. tl;dr: Cooper is the most popular NC political leader since Jim Hunt.

With today's big news, speculation is rampant about who @KamalaHarris's Vice Presidential pick will be. One name floated has been North Carolina's own Governor @RoyCooperNC. For those of y'all not from NC - welcome. Allow us to introduce you to Governor Cooper. 🧵👇

James Ferguson II was one of North Carolina's most powerful voices for justice. He co-founded the state's first interracial law firm, defended civil rights activists and helped lead Swann v. CMS, the landmark Supreme Court case that led to busing as a tool to desegregate public schools nationwide. Through every threat and setback, he never backed down. Charlotte is better because of him. We honor his legacy and commit to continuing the fight for equity and justice. Rest well, Mr. Ferguson.

Join Me for an Important Announcement! This Wednesday, June 18th at 12:15 PM, I’ll be making a very important announcement right here in Matthews—on the Town Green in front of Town Hall (232 Matthews Station Street). I’d be honored to have you there. This moment means a lot to me, and I hope you’ll stand with me as we take this next step—together.

Republicans claim to support women and moms while actively fighting against simple policies that let women do their jobs while also being moms.

This is a joke. These women were sent to congress to represent their constituents but instead they’re wasting time fighting for accommodations for themselves. It’s grotesque. If you can’t handle the job, shut up and go do something else with your life

Not one for hysterics, but *this* would actually be a stolen election.

Someone explain to me how these tariffs will make my life better

This explanation is nothing short of a joke. It acknowledges the fact that this will cause a recession but theorizes it will be worth it for increased salaries in the US based on nothing but vibes. We’ve tried this before. It caused the Great Depression.

“I’m not a Pro-Trumper at all. But I believe in it. I’m a business owner. I know how it works” Trump’s Tariffs explained in simple terms! America’s business owners want this!! 🔥👇🏼

Not really surprising that Jefferson Griffin idolizes losers.
Bryan Anderson@BryanRAnderson28 Mar 2025
More #ncpol Griffin news: In 1998, Griffin listed Robert E. Lee as his top choice for an “ideal guest list." Years later, as a fraternity president at UNC, he was opposed to abandoning a tradition of wearing Confederate uniforms to an annual ball. First reported by @AP.

On Sunday night, I will give a talk in Wisconsin. To clarify a previous post, entrance is limited to those who have signed the petition in opposition to activist judges. I will also hand over checks for a million dollars to 2 people to be spokesmen for the petition.
