North Carolinians need more legislators who put the people’s needs ahead of their own. People like Sen. Woodson Bradley, future Rep. @KenMcCool1, future Senator April Cook, and other Democratic legislative candidates across the state. Let’s win in November and then let’s get back to Raleigh and get serious about work to build a North Carolina that is safer, stronger, more prosperous, and more affordable.
It’s pretty easy to figure out who wants giant data centers in our community when every attack ad from Republicans and my opponent is AI-generated.
And just FYI: when the largest data center proposed on the East Coast came knocking in Matthews, I stopped it.
District 105 is one of North Carolina’s most competitive State House races. Voters deserve to hear directly from both candidates.
I’m publicly challenging my opponent to a debate.
Any neutral venue. Any fair format. Let’s compare our records and visions for North Carolina.
I’ll be there. Will you? @triciacotham

I’m Ken McCool. I’m 28.
At 21, I was elected to serve my hometown of Matthews, NC.
Now I’m running for State House against one of America’s most infamous party-switchers.
She gave Republicans a supermajority.
I’m running to take the seat back.
Let’s beat her.
As some of you know, I’ve been under the weather for the past couple of weeks and yesterday I had emergency gallbladder removal surgery at Novant Matthews Medical Center. The surgery went well and I’m feeling much better. Unfortunately, I’ll have to take the next couple of weeks to rest and recover. I’ll miss everyone lots and I’m excited to be back on the campaign trail and working harder than ever soon!
I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been named a Target Race candidate by the @DLCC! National groups are paying attention, and they know that winning this election is critical to taking back power in the NC House. Learn more and support my campaign: dlcc.org/candidates/ken-mcco…
Honored to earn the endorsement of Carolina Forward. Our campaign is building real momentum because families want the same things: safer neighborhoods, strong public schools, and more affordable opportunities. Let’s keep growing this movement and move North Carolina forward.
It’s official: the primaries are over, and I’ll be on the November ballot facing Tricia Cotham.
Major outlets are already calling this race a 50-50 toss-up and the most competitive race in North Carolina.
If you’re ready to move past political extremism and fight for the representation our community deserves, join Team McCool. Let’s win this.
Honored to have the endorsement of the North Carolina Association of Educators. Supporting strong public schools and respecting educators will always be priorities for me. Thankful for their support and proud to stand with them.
Major fundraising deadline this week. Millions will be spent trying to defeat this campaign. I don’t have corporate machines behind me. I have people across District 105. If you believe in common sense leadership and real community investment, chip in today. Every dollar helps us compete. secure.actblue.com/donate/ke…

Proud to share our growing list of #ncga endorsements!
That one hurt, but what a showing from the Panthers. You can feel the momentum building. This team is on the right path, no doubt. Love these guys. #KeepPounding
I’m grateful to the FBI, Mint Hill Police Department, and their law enforcement partners for their swift action to stop a potential act of violence and keep our community safe. Especially after everything Mint Hill PD has endured in recent weeks, their resolve and commitment to protecting this community deserve real recognition.
The #FBI thwarted a potential terrorist attack on New Year's Eve in North Carolina. The subject was directly inspired to act by ISIS. A federal criminal complaint alleges 18-year-old Christian Sturdivant planned a violent attack at a grocery store in Mint Hill. SAC Barnacle praised the swift action of the FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force, the @NYPDnews, @USAO_WDNC, @TheJusticeDept, and the Mint Hill Police Department to protect our community and Defend the Homeland. justice.gov/usao-wdnc/pr/fbi…
Today’s violence in Mint Hill is heartbreaking. My thoughts are with the two officers who were critically injured, their families, and the entire Mint Hill Police Department.
I’m grateful to the first responders and medical professionals who acted quickly and bravely.
Every Christmas Eve, we visit my dad’s childhood home.
Five brothers grew up here with very little, but with love, grit, and hard work.
Their story is why I believe every family deserves a real shot, no matter where they start.
That’s the American Dream I’m fighting for.
Tricia Cotham didn’t just switch parties. She switched principles. #ncpol
Proud to be with another bold Christian conservative fighting to protect NC families. Thank you Tricia for coming into our party and enduring the attacks from the left. May God bless and protect you and your loved ones. @triciacotham #ncpol #AmericaFirst
Candidate filing is officially closed, and I’m proud to be the Democratic nominee for NC House District 105.
This is the most competitive district in North Carolina, rated dead even.
This is our moment to build momentum and win. Let’s go.
