A LIFE WELL LIVED, A LEGACY FOREVER.
He was a great Man, humorous, humble, & forever wanting to share & impart real knowledge. He knew how to also listen & never to appear as the one who knew it all. A Father worthy of RESPECT. He is “Bonya Mabogo”. May His Soul Rest Eternally.

Today Botswana lost a true son of this soil we call home, a Master Farmer of note & an inspiration to all of us up & coming pedigree / commercial farmers. We have lost a true Legend & Father to us all. Today we bid fare-thee-well to a very knowledgeable & humble cattleman.!

During the course of a breeding season bulls typically lose 10-15% of their weight (one to two BCS points). For a bull, a one-point change in body condition score equals about 100 pounds.

There seems to be a huge misunderstanding of the “visual” difference between a Boran and a Brahman. Having seen both breeds and semi-intimately acquainted to one by way of personal proximity to renowned breeders of the Brahman, I think I can confidently say; the two main differences are the ears and most shockingly the superior LARGER and TOWERING SIZE of the Brahman over the Boran. Brahmans are much taller and longer.

They are rare. They don’t show up too often in the herd but once in a while you do get that one that looks just right. This small boy is just that. MSB-Bespoke. Thick, solid back with legs that stand just right and composed. Hind quarters is compact with plenty potential for capacity. No ear tag yet but soon to be numbered.

Something interesting is loading from the Alpha Bonsmara Group. Am going to keep a close eye on this one as it develops. This breed seems to be taking on in Botswana quite well.
