In a land full of likes, where the followers dwell, I ponder the posts, with my own tale to tell. For farming engagement, with questions quite trite, Feels like throwing a ring into the darkest of night. Oh, the scrolls I could fill with queries so bland, Like "What's your favorite color?" or "Sand on which land?" But no, I refuse to cheapen my feed, With questions that make even the trolls take heed. I'll not be the one to clutter the space, With inquiries that vanity and ego would chase. For true engagement comes not from a question so base, But from words that resonate, with a genuine grace. I'll speak of the Shire, its rivers and hills, Of adventures and ale, of laughs and of thrills. For the posts that draw crowds are those with a heart, Not the ones designed just to boost one's chart. So let's leave the farming to those with their plows, And share our true selves, our stories, our vows. For in the end, it's not likes that we seek, But connections that make our digital journey unique. May your posts be like second breakfast, dear X, Full of substance, not fluff, and never a con. Here's to posts that matter, that engage and inspire, Not just farming for likes, but lighting up hearts like a fire.

Hard to argue with that take.
Dear White Liberal Women, If Lindsay Clancy is found not guilty of killing her three children, this country has to be honest about what that ruling means. If a woman’s biology and mental state after childbirth can erase criminal responsibility for the deaths of Cora, Dawson, and Callan, then the same condition cannot be treated as irrelevant in every other high-stakes role. Women should not be eligible for: - Combat roles - Armed law-enforcement positions - Unsupervised managerial authority over staff or budgets - Judicial office or jury service - Licensure as pilots, air-traffic controllers, or commercial drivers - Independent practice as surgeons or emergency physicians - Sole legal custody of minor children - Positions in childcare, teaching, or school administration - Gun ownership They should also be subject to a more strict background check when applying for a job and every woman should have to face a psych evaluation every month. You cannot argue that postpartum illness is powerful enough to excuse the killing of three children and, in the same breath, argue it is too minor to restrict power, weapons, votes, or the care of other people’s kids. Either the condition is that serious, or it is not. Pick one. In freedom, Mr. Star-Spangled MAGA

Where did it all go wrong? How do we go from Merry Pranksters to 4chan? The slop and stupidity that we are living in today is not the Merry Prankster doing. It's the psychosis of 4chan.

Well said Mark.
Ro, I like you. You know that. But you need to read the state of the state. The number of Deca Unicorns in Cali is growing by the day as investors chase amazing startups. A unique feature of these 10b startups is that even if they raise a billion, little, if any of that money goes to the founders, who are now worth billions of dollars over night. They are the definition of cash poor, stock rich How are you going to tax them ? Make them borrow money against their shares, if they can? They just raised money to grow their company and a bank will come along and loan them money ? A company that has been in business maybe less than a year ? lol Will you take their stock if they can’t ? Do you really think each of multiple founders, who started an amazing company in Cali and is now a billionaire, can each just pull out $250m per billion of net worth from their raise ? You know they can’t. If this passes , and it doesn’t directly impact me at all, I won’t be a cali resident, but you can bet if I’m investing in a multi billion dollar startup, I’m asking them to move from California first. IMO, if this passes, only idiot startup founders stay in Cali. I’ve done it before and will do it again. Dallas. Pittsburgh. Indiana. I will make NOT being in California a pre requisite for an investment Ideology is not a strategy Ro.

LOL ......UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Festival organizers expected accordion music, meatballs and maybe a little Sinatra. They did not expect Sexy Corpse. The local heavy metal band took the stage Saturday afternoon at the Italian Festival and, despite initially terrifying several people near the cannoli stand, quickly became an unexpected favorite among the festival’s older crowd. The group opened with several original songs before launching into its apparent fan favorite, “Finger in My Butthole,” a song witnesses described as “musically aggressive” and “probably not something Father Tony would approve of.” Instead of leaving, dozens of senior citizens moved closer. “I can’t understand a darn word he’s saying, but that drummer is incredible,” said 79-year-old Rose Mancini, who was later seen making devil horns while holding a plate of spaghetti. Things escalated when an 82-year-old man reportedly abandoned his walker near the stage and began what witnesses called “a very cautious mosh pit.” Festival security briefly considered intervening but stopped after three grandmothers began chanting, “PLAY THE BUTTHOLE SONG AGAIN!” One organizer admitted Sexy Corpse may have been booked accidentally after being confused with a Frank Sinatra tribute group called Sexy Crooner. By the end of the performance, however, the band had sold out of T-shirts and received multiple requests to return next year. Lead singer Joey “Death Sauce” Marinelli said the band was stunned. “We normally play for like 14 drunk guys in a basement,” he said. “Today somebody’s grandma asked me to autograph her oxygen tank.” The festival’s scheduled Dean Martin tribute act reportedly refused to follow them. “He said there was no coming back from the butthole song,” one volunteer said.

Couldn't have said it any better. Anybody that keeps over-promising and under-delivering robs the thrill.
With Tesla's Q2 earnings call this week, I'm sadly going in with much different expectations. I really don't know how much we can believe of what Tesla and Elon say I'm only sharing this with the hope that Elon and Tesla will recalibrate and learn to underpromise and overperform rather than the opposite which creates new, unnecessary attack vectors and disillusionment of many Tesla fans and investors. If these goals are so uncertain, please just don't share them. Say whatever you want internally, but to say them publicly and not even get close does nothing but hurt the company and many following it In just a few of the most recent calls Elon said the following: Q2 '25: "I believe half of the population of the US will be covered by Tesla's Robotaxi by the end of the year." Reality: not even close Q3 '25: "We do expect to be operating robotaxi in, I think, about eight to ten metro areas by the end of the year." Reality: 1 Q3 '25: "We expect to be operating in Nevada, Florida, and Arizona by the end of the year." Reality: none Q4 '25: "In terms of taxi vehicles carrying paid customers, I think we're well over 500 at this point between the Bay Area and Austin. This will probably double every month type of thing." Reality: number largely stayed flat and Unsupervised is much smaller I love Tesla and have been a superfan for well over a decade. I'm not here for short term $TSLA performance. But this is far more than just a one-off mistake or single moment of hubris. This is clearly a trend and as someone who holds Tesla to a higher standard, I'd love to see them do better with setting expectations. And further, if you do miss a timeline that was very public, communicating the reasons transparently would go a very long way to maintaining credibility going forward

Number one reason why I'm here
Cybercab at the National Federation of the Blind's Annual Convention in Austin for a hands-on experience of its accessibility features for blind or visually impaired customers

For example:
– Braille lettering on physical controls – Space for service animals & assistive devices – Wheelchair-height seating for easier transfers

You say you make the philosophical case. I read the essay. There is no philosophy in it. There is arithmetic, and there is need. The one premise doing all the work is never argued: that one man's need constitutes a claim on another man's property. It doesn't. Need is not a mortgage on the life of the man who fulfilled his. You say the tax "asks" billionaires for 5%. A tax does not ask. If it asked, it would be philanthropy. It compels — and your entire moral posture depends on the reader not noticing the difference. You call it a "social contract." A contract requires consent. A decree written by Congress and imposed on 938 people who never signed it is not a contract. It is force wearing a contract's clothes. And your proudest boast is your most damning admission: Newsom taxes transactions — you tax OWNERSHIP itself. Stock never sold. Value never realized. Not "we tax what you do," but "we tax what you are." You welcomed an argument on the merits. Here it is: a man's success is not a public asset, and no number of people needing his property converts it into theirs. That is the moral test of our time. You are failing it.
