Congratulations, @mayorkincannon! I wish you the best as you lead Knoxville into the next decade.
Indya Kincannon is sworn in as Knoxville's 69th Mayor. Congratulations! The full house at the Bijou Theatre greeted her with a rousing ovation.
Knoxville, it's been my honor to serve as your Mayor. Thank you. I'm proud to leave the office in the capable hands of @mayorkincannon & her administration. I look forward to seeing you at today's inauguration ceremony at @bijoutheatre.

Great to cut a ribbon and celebrate the completion of Phase 1 of the $7 million Magnolia Avenue Streetscape Project. Work on the second phase is expected to be finished by springtime – just in time for the new street trees to leaf out!
HOPE for Victims gathered tonight for a remembrance service and placed ornaments on a Christmas tree in honor of lost loved ones and fallen officers. hopeforvictims.org
Today, we formally gathered to thank Josh Biggs, @KnoxTN911, and Tony Scarbrough, with @amrambulance, for their compassion and kindness during a extraordinary car accident earlier this year involving Vivian Gwinn. Vivian wanted to personally recognize and honor their efforts.
See you there! Visit with @USCapitolTree and enjoy songs by @AustinEastHS Choir.
It was a pleasure to visit with delegates from the Republic of Georgia this week. Thank you to Friendship Force International and everyone in Knoxville that helped host the group.
Our investment in LED technology for the citywide streetlight retrofit has reduced our annual ~$4M bill in half. And the carbon reduction is equivalent to taking 2,500 cars off the roads.
Knoxville is the first city in the Southeast to convert its streetlights to LEDs all at once & the first of the big 4 cities in Tennessee.
Partnerships with @Siemens & @KnoxKUB & @AcuityBrands & Fulghum Macindoe & Andrews Electric, and so many others made this project possible.
Congratulations to Indya Kincannon on her victory tonight. I look forward to a smooth transition and continued forward movement for Knoxville. I want to thank Eddie Mannis for running a good campaign and for all he has done to make Knoxville a better place.
