Gandhi was a casteist. If you’re Gandhian, say so and do your politics accordingly. You can’t have Babasaheb and Gandhi together. Their politics were fundamentally opposite. Pick one and own it. Stop using Babasaheb’s name whenever it is convenient for your politics.

In Gujarat, India, there is a folk dance called Garba. During a nine-night religious celebration (an oxymoronic term), people dance the night away in worship of a goddess. A few months later, abortions spike. Using religion as a cover for promiscuity is outright evil.

Wildlife needs to be protected. Triple the project costs if needed to let the wildlife survive it. If India wants to be exceptional then developing things while preserving and rewilding would be the exceptional move.
