Maybe I'm naive but I just think the fact that the Doctor is (possibly) the only character on TV who can now be played by literally anyone (of any race/gender) is a beautiful thing that should be celebrated.

So he wasn't autistic but had schizophrenia and psychosis (which is arguably worse). He lived on his own and had no carers but got worse recently. Neighbours say he was delightful. All in all very tragic. No one wins here.
