Beautiful, heartbreaking story from @JenSeniorNY. A must-read on the special type of personal hell that 9/11 wrought on families.

Trump adviser tells me the campaign has “nothing concrete” in terms of voter fraud.
Imagine having a man of character (and a woman of color!) in the White House. This will be a better four years than the last four.

Want to say again that it is insane that a margin of thousands in a few arbitrary geographic units was the difference between victory and defeat for a candidate who won the overall vote by millions (and counting).

Journalists don’t sit down with senior officials to score political points. We do it in the service of asking tough questions, on behalf of our fellow citizens. And then sharing the answers—or lack thereof—with the world.

This is what good #journalism sounds like. This is also what it sounds like when a government official lies and then throws a temper tantrum when challenged. Bravo, @NPRKelly.

I think Jon Stewart should run for Congress.
Jon Stewart: "We can never repay all that the 9/11 community has done for our country, but we can stop penalizing them. And today is that day that they can exhale ...I'm hopeful that today begins the process of being able to heal without the burden of having to advocate." @tictoc

1. A truck of TVs is hijacked.
2. Your son meets with the hijackers.
3. Your campaign manager shares route information with them.
4. You are recorded on video saying, "I love truck hijacking."
5. The TVs are in your house.

People: it's "a novelist and painter, Joe Bloggs...". But if you use "the" or omit the article, it's NO COMMAS. "Novelist and painter Joe Bloggs" or "The novelist and painter Joe Bloggs". [Removes pebble from shoe.] Thank you.

Mind blown by etymology, part 38: "magazine" is originally Arabic. ("makzan", storehouse, from "kazana", to store.) Via postclassical Latin, Italian, French, which is all normal, but I'd never have guessed Arabic. Cousins: Spanish almacén, Portuguese armazém. Dang.
The thing that really upsets me about the #StormyDaniels scandal is how often I see writers capitalize "non-disclosure agreement."
