We Romanians are a classy and tidy bunch.
This is how Romania left their dressing room at the Allianz Arena in Munich following their defeat to the Netherlands. They even left a thank you letter 💛🇷🇴 Class act! 👏 (📸 echipanationala/IG

Update: @TurboTax has confirmed it they gave me bad advice, resulting in an overpayment. However, their comically flawed software is now calculating that my taxes due to Oregon somehow exceed my income while living here in '23. So we can't amend until that's sorted.
I just received a notice from @TurboTax: "Due to an error, TurboTax might not have selected the best deduction option for you, resulting in a possible overpayment." I'll have to call to find out for sure, which will cost more of my time. Friends, TurboTax is crap. Don't use it.

My @TurboTax "expert": "I think it's not allocating your partial-year residency correctly." Yeah, you think so? I spent over 3 hours on the phone with them yesterday & they missed their scheduled follow-up call today. Small business owners, avoid TurboTax like the plague.

Went to a High-A baseball game this weekend and of course discussed "obscure yet perfect walk-up music": _Sax riff from "Baker Street" _Opening bars of Jesus Lizard's "Mouth Breather" _Literally any sample from Sylvester's "Do You Wanna Funk?" What would you add?

It's only April, but I can't imagine I'll have a worse consumer experience this year than @TurboTax. Eight hours in their system, two hours on the phone with their "experts," and the return they created for me has quarterly vouchers for the wrong state.

This record opens with one of the best four-song sequences in music history. The rest of it is damn near perfect too. Listen at Bandcamp: wussy.bandcamp.com/album/wus…
15 years ago today, #Wussy released its self-titled third album (@shakeitrecords). We’ve got all night. Check out the mix tape @wussymusic made MAGNET that year: magnetmagazine.com/2009/05/1…

One thing I underestimated about living in an actual house (as opposed to a condo in a mid-rise) is that people will actually ring your doorbell and try to sell you their pest-control services or convert you to their religion

Hey gang - who can recommend a good portable Bluetooth speaker? I'm more concerned with sound quality and reliability than decibels or a preponderance of bass.

Nice to see @DayWines featured in WaPo! Theirs was the first wine club we joined after moving here, because they have their own thing going on - from the philosophy to the physical space to the wonderful people that work there.
