Three British meetings today. The opening stages of the 3.36 Huntingdon clashed with Nottingham and the closing stages clashed with Newton Abbot. A part of me is coming around to the idea - much like with humanity - that when racing does go under it is probably for the best.
The Betfair Forum is closing down. A sad day, not because of what it is now but because of what it was in its pomp when it probably gave me more regular belly laughs than just about anything.

There is nothing so exciting as a big meeting opening with a bang whether it is Cheltenham with three Grade 1's, Ascot with three Group 1's or Doncaster with three nurseries.

116 votes • Final resultsDon't know what "exchanges" they are looking at but that's twice in two days people on RTV have been talking absolute nonsense about prices in photo betting.
Not that it was a huge price or for vast amounts but the distance between people clicking the lay button on Sun Goddess and thinking "what have I done?" must have been record-breakingly short!
