One last query post.
If you get a request, a strange phenomenon will occur after you hit send.
The overwhelming desire to open up the script and imagine them reading the words.
Don't do it!
Nothing good comes from doing that.
You're sure to find a flaw and ruin the high! 🤣

SIR PATRICK STEWART (1940-2026)
Before everything else, Patrick was defined by being born and bred in Yorkshire, the proud county in the north of England which he loved to the end. You could hear it in his accented voice and in the stern honesty with which he told you what he thought and felt. Yorkshiremen have no truck with half-truths or avoidance of big issues. He wore his heart on his sleeve, which made him a man to rely on, to admire and in my case, love.
We first met as ambitious young actors with the Royal Shakespeare Company half a century ago but we weren’t in the same productions. My first strong memory was a few years later, meeting him in the street in central London when he told me about an offer to take over a leading part in 'Star Trek'. “But Patrick think of your stage career in the UK. Do you really want to risk—getting lost in Hollywood for years and years?”. Well, he took the risk and thank goodness for us all that he did for not just his devoted Trekkies but film and theatre audiences, who marvelled at his using international celebrity to star in a string of cinema successes ('X-Men' of course) and in great classical plays by Shakespeare, Ibsen, Arthur Miller, Peter Shaffer, Pinter and Beckett at Stratford-upon-Avon, in London’s West End and on Broadway.
America was his adopted home, where he met his adored Sunny who has cared for him through sickness and health, through thick and thin. But he never forsook his origins: and the proudest achievement of the most respected and beloved actor of his generation on either side of the Atlantic, was his appointment as Chancellor of Huddersfield University in Yorkshire.
His farewell performance in 'Avengers: Doomsday' is yet to be seen.

'Last Night In Soho' turns 5 this week. I'll post some behind the scenes photos in the next few days. But enjoy this breakdown of the 'Cafe De Paris' dance sequence with Anya Taylor Joy, Thomasin McKenzie and Matt Smith, choreographed by the great Jennifer White. Too many amazing people worked on this film with me, and there are sequences (like this) that I'm insanely proud of. Shoutouts to Marcus Rowland for this incredible set, the genius DOP Chung-Hoon Chung, our amazing VFX supervisor Tom Proctor and, in this scene especially, the magnificent camera operator Chris Bain. Enjoy and more soon! @lastnightinsohomovie @focusfeatures @FictionComplete @workingtitlefilms

Today I turn 88…I’ve seen some serious shit. The most serious of it all is love. I love my family, my friends, and my wonderful fans. The power of love remains.

Gary Oldman said his favorite day working with Harrison Ford on AIR FORCE ONE was when Oldman showed up to set and noticed a sign that had been placed on a wall of the plane's interior by the entrance, which read "NO eating, NO smoking, NO drinking."
Right then he turned to see Harrison Ford holding a sandwich, a cup of coffee, and smoking a cigarette lol

As the debut of The Social Reckoning approaches, i figured its time once again to tell the story of how The Social Network came to be. A lot of people seem to have forgotten that it actually began as a book :):) - thread ahead

I wish people would make the actual legitimate criticism of the ad, which is that sports betting apps are the devil and celebrities shouldn’t be pushing them on people.
From @TheAthletic: Sydney Sweeney's advert for the sports prediction app Novig ignores decades of progress in representing female athletes, our columnist writes. nyti.ms/4xm7mAx

ALT “The reason Sweeney’s advertisement has infuriated so many women in sport is that if there is a group that has managed to genuinely force change in the perception of what women are capable of since the turn of the century — of what it means to be a strong and powerful woman, to be a girl, without prostrating to the male gaze — it is women in sport.” - Megan Feringa, women's football writer

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.
