Over 500 Conservative councillors have signed our open letter calling on Green councillors to stand up for British Jewish residents. The Green Party has declared “Zionism to be racism”. Zack Polanski didn’t stay to vote against it. And yesterday, he told Laura Kuenssberg he wouldn’t overturn it: “I don’t think this is actually controversial.” We’re asking Green councillors to disavow the motion, challenge antisemitism and reassure Jewish residents they’ll be represented without prejudice. Silence is a choice.

Far too often, the state acts like private companies can be constrained by more and more rules, and just suck it up and keep going. They can’t. There is a limit, and we've reached it. If Sadiq Khan carries on like this, London's housing market will be totally destroyed.

Great to visit New Covent Garden Market in Nine Elms at 4am this morning with @wandbc Council Leader @RDMorritt & fellow Cabinet Members. From fruit & veg to flowers, it keeps London supplied—a vital part of Wandsworth’s economy, with over 2,500 jobs & £1.079bn turnover in 2025–26.

It was excellent to see the progress on the Block A site in Roehampton, part of the wider improvements to the area. This long derelict site can provide new homes and community services, which will help realise the area’s potential – at Wandsworth, London
Major progress at Block A on the Alton estate, with demolition of the long-empty block well underway. Hear from Cabinet Member for Housing, Cllr Corner, on this key milestone as the site is cleared for new homes and community facilities. Read more 👇 orlo.uk/yFTAI

The Labour government cut Wandsworth Council’s budget by 40%. It speaks volumes that Andy Burnham is happy to slash the funding for Conservative-run councils, but won’t touch the bloated welfare bill.

The Fair Funding Formula is anything but - Labour are putting up council tax in Britain’s best run councils. My latest in the @spectator 👇

Andy Burnham’s vindictive politics is taking millions from well run, southern councils like Wandsworth and using it to subsidise the North. The previous Labour administration left behind a £137 million black hole and are now leaving taxpayers to foot the bill. Electing @OttoJacobsson today in Trinity ward in Wandsworth will give Conservatives the majority needed to fight this injustice and secure a fair deal for Wandsworth.
Vote Conservative today to stop the Labour cuts to Wandsworth - polling stations open! @KemiBadenoch @wandsworth

🌞 Have a great time at the Northcote Road summer festival today! @aled_rj says it’s even better this time, as this weekend marks the return of the summer weekend pedestrianisation. Conservatives pledged to bring back the scheme if we won the council elections - we’ve delivered!

I’m very saddened by this news - I know it’s not a decision Aled will have taken lightly. He’s been an exceptional champion for Wandsworth. No one worked harder to win back control of the Council, and I value his friendship, leadership and commitment to our borough and party 💙 – at Wandsworth, London
It’s been an honour to serve as Group Leader these past few years. Returning Wandsworth to Conservative control was a true team effort and something I will always be proud of. As I step down as Leader due to professional commitments, I do so full of optimism for Wandsworth and confidence in our new team. tinyurl.com/mpe36ufa

Labour are starving well run councils of funds to subsidise poorly run ones. Money that should be filling potholes is filling black holes. That leaves councils with an impossible choice, cut services or increase council tax. It punishes well run councils and props up failing Labour administrations.
