An eventful week at @SICWSG, bringing together global experts to discuss cybersecurity and AI. France was actively represented, including by a delegation from the French National Cybersecurity Agency (ANSSI). Here are the key highlights:
👇
📍Indian Ocean | The French Navy led a high sea intervention in order to control the pavilion of an oil tanker ashore Reunion Island
This operation aimed to verify the nationality of a ship asserting a Beninese flag. The French sailors examined the papers of the ship and verified the suspicions.
The ship has been rerouted at the demand of the public prosecutor, under escort of the French Navy. The whole operation was led in compliance with the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (art. 110 UNCLOS)

What a ride it's been!

Deeply grateful to all the amazing people I met along the way—from U.S. civil servants to think tankers, colleagues from embassies, and so many others.
Delighted to pass the baton to my excellent successor, @AstridChevreuil, and I wish her every success in this new chapter!
Next up 🇸🇬!
Excited for a new adventure in #Singapore, joining @FranceinSG, Ambassador @StephMarch_ and his great team as the new Deputy Chief of Mission.
Can’t wait to get started!

We have agreed on the 21st sanctions package against Russia.
It delivers sweeping measures targeting Moscow’s financial system, its military-industrial complex and energy sector, that keep Russia's war economy running.
We are hitting Putin where it hurts most: cutting off the financial lifelines he relies on to sustain his war.
This is not the end of the road on sanctions. We are already working on the next steps. The EU must be ready to respond to any further Russian escalation.
