What a great summer read! Not only I learned more about Einstein as a person & scientist, but history behind many science experiments, theories, and struggles; history & philosophy. We are wired for stories. This is how we learn to appreciate human accomplishments. @amtnj

It’s nice to have a plan for a theoretical vaccine, but Cuomo is doing nothing to fix the massive education inequity of his foundation aid cuts. It’s incited a racially based forest fire. We are losing the ability to help these kids. Every day makes it worse.

I just realized something.
Numerator: numerate means to represent numbers using symbols.
Denominator: denominate means to give a name to, or to specify a (monetary) unit.
Why wasn't I taught this? These definitions definitely help with what each part of the fraction means.
Replying to @jvnanu
Yeah! Denominator helps you with the unit and numerator tells you how many of those units you have.

Virtual manipulatives are going to be a game changer if we continue distance learning & also have a place in f2f classroom instruction. Check out this curated list from @jnovakowski38 which includes my #NCTM100 session!
With the possibility of continued blended learning for the next school year, I curated information about different sets of virtual manipulatives along with presentations and articles to support the use of them.
