That’s a bunch of shit. I loved family medicine. I wanted to be primary care before I wanted to Medical School. First the pediatrician. Then when I did my geriatric rotation, I switched to family medicine.
Just another example of specialist snobbery. This is the kind of shit we’ve had to put up with and shows how the RUC has cannibalized family medicine and other primary care.
I am now enjoying watching special care get screwed with CMS cuts to RVU coupons. I’m enjoying watching you squeal for help.

My patients get same/next day 30-60 min visits and unlimited visits without a copay. I take care of minor emergencies and skin procedures. I'm even making house calls again. More recently doctors formed groups that charged members a monthly fee to get all their basic healthcare. There was no insurance involved which freed up a lot of time and money because half the cost of running most doctor’s offices was spent dealing with insurance.
I haven’t heard about this recently. Maybe COVID put an end to it, or the corporationzation of healthcare organizations. From what I saw about it, patients got to spend much more time with their doctors and a smaller, regular fixed price.
Governments love any programs that make people dependent on them. Once dependent, people can be easily controlled.

NEW: Ohio lawmakers have proposed a new law that bans men from ejaculating without intent of conception, would fine men up to $10,000 per ejaculation.
The bill was brought forward by Democratic State reps Anita Somani and Tristan Rade.
Men would be charged with a felony under the law if they engage in unprotected s*x without the intent of impregnation.
Exceptions under the law include people ejaculating in the LGBTQ community, sperm donation, and masturbat*on.
The lawmakers say the point of "The Conception Begins at Erection Act" is to "call out the hypocrisy" of "bills that regulate women’s bodies."
Men would be charged $1,000 for the first offense, $5,000 for the second offense and $10,000 for any offense after.

I think we need a new law introducing a $1,000,000 fine for frivolous legislation introduced into a legislative body. Per offense, per offender, and it should result in removal from office and not more than 10 years at hard labor.
