Excited to start leading @Lesley_WBB. Coaching at the college level is a dream come true for me. Thank you to so many who helped along the way. We're building something great here! lesleyathletics.com/sports/w…

Review: "Cellino and Barnes". A smashing, clever, comedic play about the fascinating + hilarious relationship between pioneering and scheming personal injury attys and odd couple, Cellino and Barnes. The Off-Broadway we live for! @patkiernan @fdilella @NY1onstage @GeorgeWhipple3

Those who know Chi Ossé best and longest are not surprised that he has worked to put himself in a position of power.

Watching my first official @sxsw event of the year: a @SXSWEDU panel where the Rather Prize- awarded for the best new idea/program in Texas public schools- went to Kidz n' Coaches in El Paso. @MartinRather was here, @DanRather appeared via the magic of video.

This is unbelievable! @MartinRather's and my good friend Aliea Clark is in the finals of the @USGA #USWomensMidAm! She is a 64 seed, not even ranked, and she barely has time to play pursuing a dual degree @NYUTischSchool and @NYUStern! Go Aliea! @GOLF_com @GolfChannel
When I was a student at Rice, Coach Pera opened up his team, practices, and playbook to me. He taught me the right way to coach. With news of today’s extension, I’m so glad that @RiceUniversity recognized his efforts for both the @RiceMBB program and the entire school!
Humbled and appreciative. I have a great love of Rice and am honored that they want us to continue to lead this program. This is for all the staff and student athletes that have given so much to help us build this program. #notsatisfied #GreenLightU
Just one of many jarring examples of someone’s vote being discarded…and 10 days after the election there is still no public record of a single ballot cast by mail. Scenes from @BOENYC this week: gothamist.com/news/all-eyes-…

1 year ago today @MartinRather and I changed precedent in the NY Courts to allow young people to run for office after voting in college! Still proud of that historic victory and grateful for the help of people like @Maximthorne + @jschwartz99 along the way tinyurl.com/3yxrhrmn

Watching w/ @MartinRather and already some good drama in @BOENYC hearings today on petitions/cover sheets. The heated, ridiculous, and unresolved argument btwn GOP commishes and @MarkoKepi was a great appetizer for the citywide hearing starting in 5 min! vote.nyc/page/commissioners-…

The winner of the 2021 Rather Prize is teacher Erin Rodriguez Gilbert & Youngblood Intermediate School in Alief ISD in Houston. It’s clear that Gilbert’s project demonstrates that from a small garden, we can grow a stronger TX educational system. youtu.be/cEHrWofo9Fg @AliefISD

Each Sunday, my grandfather texts me a supportive note for the week ahead. These notes have played a huge role in my life. I hope they will for you too as he launches “Steady” on @Substack. Nearly 90 & still innovating. Love & pride, Grandad. Sign up here: steady.Substack.com
Because there are many things that require more than 280 characters to say... Some pretty big personal news today. A new journey begins. Will you join me?

If you're a Texas educator, student, or retiree or know someone who is, I'd be honored if you'd apply for this year's Rather Prize. We award $10,000 to the best idea to improve education in Texas. Submit your idea at ratherprize.org
If you’re able, @GothamGazette is a truly excellent local news source and could use a little help this holiday season: citizensunionfoundation.org/…
There are many factors impacting our 2021 budget, & we've been working on several fronts, but we set a goal of raising $100,000 this month in order to have a good chance to avoid staff furloughs or layoffs early in 2021 while we keep pursuing longer-term funding solutions.
